“Playground!”
Chaeyoung squealed at the sight of the playground. They just had dinner and decided to take a walk before going back to the dorm. Chaeyoung tugged her fingers but Jennie wouldn’t budge. Chaeyoung tried using her cute pout because she knows that she always wins when she does that.
Surprisingly, it didn’t do much because Jennie didn’t give in with that irresistible cutie pout that the universe couldn’t handle. It wasn’t because Jennie is a no-fun girl it’s just that Chaeyoung tends to get excited over little things that made her accident prone. Jennie was just being overly protective of her girl.
Another cute pout. Jennie shook her head no. Chaeyoung huffed in annoyance, she doesn’t have a choice, and Jennie won’t let her play. It’s time to use her ultimate weapon.
“Pretty please…”
Chaeyoung pouted and showed Jennie her ultimate cute pout and tears started to form in the corners of her eyes. Jennie was taken aback, she wasn’t aware of the newest version of her girl’s begging face. Jennie closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose. This one is hard to resist she admits.
She felt Chaeyoung tugged her sweater. And it was a big mistake to look at her that moment. Jennie rolled her eyes and nods at the blonde goddess in front of her.
“Yey! Thank you, Love! You are the best!”
“Fine… fine but only for five minutes”
“Ten?”
“No… Five”
“Umm please?”
“Five. Take it or leave it”
“Okay… eight. I love you so much!”
Chaeyoung ran to the slides before Jennie can retort. The cat-eyed girl, just shook her head and followed Chaeyoung before anything happens. She sat on a bench nearby, watching Chaeyoung runs into different kinds of playground sets and hear her squeal every now and then.
Eight minutes turns into ten and then twenty. Jennie just smiled at the sight of exhausted but seemingly satisfied Park Chaeyoung. She stood up as Chaeyoung’s nearing where she sits and started walking towards the dorm. Jennie stopped when she felt that the taller girl wasn’t following her.
She saw the girl staring at her like she’s going to ask for something. And Jennie was right.
“wait for me”
Jennie just sighed. She stood idly on the spot and waited for Chaeyoung, she held out her hand for Chaeyoung to hold and they started walking together. A few meters away from the dorm, Chaeyoung stopped walking.
“What now?” Jennie asked.
“I'm tired”
Jennie huffed but turned around and crouch down a little
“Hop on” she said while tapping her shoulders.
"Huh??"
"I'm going to give you a piggy back ride" Jennie said seriously.
"Are you serious? You're like 3 ft?" Chaeyoung said.
"Yah! Are you saying that I'm a dwarf??" Jennie said.
"No no no!" Chaeyoung said while laughing, avoiding Jennie's pinch.
"I'm giving you a one time offer-" Jennie was about to explain when Chaeyoung hopped on her back. It was funny seeing them, Rosie's feet are just inches above the ground and whoever might see them will just burst out laughing for sure.
“Yey!” Chaeyoung said when she settled on Jennie's back.
“Ugh” since Chaeyoung hopped excitedly on Jennie's back it caused the latter to lose her balance a little. Thank god, she works out and it actually paid off. Jennie took a deep breath and started to walk. Chaeyoung tighten her embrace and snuggled on Jennie’s neck. Chaeyoung's legs are securely fastened in both of Jennie's arms.
“I love you”
Jennie smiled, it was more than enough for her to have strength to carry the girl home. And it was even more than enough to wash away her worries all at once.
“I love you more”
Jennie whispered when she heard Chaeyoung's soft snores. She might have a sore back for tomorrow but she doesn't care.
