Mimi woke up and opened her eyes. Shocked, she realized that she was still in the restaurant. "Mimi?", a familiar voice asked. It came from the bird-animatronic who also was in the room. Behind her were two other robots. Mimi was confused and a bit scared. But confused for the most part. What was going on? Slowly, she nodded and the bear-animatronic helped her up. "Flora?", the female asked. That voice earlier sounded like her friend's. The pink bird nodded. "Before you ask, yes, the others are Sascha and Molly and no, we also don't know what happened", Flora calmly explained. "Interesting. I thought you'd figure that out by yourself, you're dead", a voice said and they quickly turned to the direction it came from. Another animatronic, the bunny one, was walking up to them. Mimi put a hand on her forehead. What kind of sick fever dream was all of this?! After the group processed what had just been said, Flora stared at the animatronic, Molly held onto her sister in fear and Sascha shook his head. "If we were dead, I guess we wouldn't be standing here", the mint-colored bear explained, the doubt in his voice being unmistakable. The stranger sighed and seemed to be thinking of what to say. "If you feel better, I suppose you can say that your human body is dead and the animatronic is your new body. I'm sorry", he answered, sounding like a teacher giving a simple presentation to his students. Mimi was surprised and kind of amazed about the fact how human and natural his voice sounded. At daytime, the bunny animatronic spoke in a high pitched, mechanical and rather squeaky tone. Considering how her friends and she also sounded like when they were still alive, she assumed that this was the voice of another dead person that possessed the animatronic in front of them. "Who are you?", Flora asked curiously. Mimi had to admit, her friend's voice did fit the pink robot with the blue top and green jeans quite well. Taking a closer look, the female noticed that this animatronic was - next to Molly's - the most detailed one. Molly, who she had never seen on stage, was a yellow fox with a red tail tip and ribbon on the right side of her head. She wore a blue and green dress and had a pair of white wings. What a shame they only kept this robot as a backup. "My name's Toby", the bunny answered Flora's question. After that, everybody else introduced themselves by quickly saying their name. This reminded Mimi of the start of the school year where they were forced to tell their names and a bit about themselves by their teacher. Toby looked at the small group standing before him, He was impressed. They took this whole thing way better than he expected. Just when he wanted to start another sentence, Flora made a hand gesture to tell him to hold it for a second. "Can you just stop for a moment? This is quite confusing for all of us. I mean, what happened to you, what did you do? Why are we alive - how are we alive? What's going to happen and what about the killer?", she asked. Toby smiled and walked over to a table to get a piece of paper. When he returned, he looked at Flora. "Those were many questions, some quite difficult to answer. Let's start with the first two - what happened to me and what I did. I was murdered by the same person as you were and when I saw him again today, something seemed off. I checked it out and found your corpses. By the way, the room you were in was locked, but since I knew where they keep spare keys, I was able to enter nonetheless. Then I brought you to life in the animatronics, that's all you need to know about that. About the killer, first off, you don't need to worry about him, rather should he worry about us", the male explained, the polite smile on his face turning into a sinister grin. It was in this moment that Mimi noticed his fangs. Why would someone give an animatronic designed for stage performance sharp teeth?! However, he now put the paper from earlier on the floor, everybody gathering around it to take a closer look. It was a plan of the building. "You see, I already thought of a way to get rid of him. To take revenge. Originally, there were some problems, but now that you're here, everything should work out just fine. So, I guess our killer will come here pretty soon to get rid of your bodies. He obviously will notice the missing animatronics, but he can't leave the corpses here. That's why he will try to sneak them out. Sooner or later he'll be unable to leave though", Toby explained while taking out a key and showing it to the others. They assumed it was the key to the front door. It must be. "The next thing he'll do is to flee into the office because it's the safest place. Now -", he continued but got interrupted by Sascha who crossed his arms. "How do you know that though? How are you so sure?", he asked in untrust. Toby's sight darkened and he looked to the floor for a moment, then he lifted his head again. "Let's just say...I happened to know him. Now back to the plan. The office doors are lockable with electricity, so we just need to cut the connection to the city power to reach him. As you can see here, we've got a quite big area to cover in case he leaves the office, but considering our number, that shouldn't be a problem. Lastly, we have a corpse we can't hide. However, we'll be able to make it look like suicide", he finished and looked expectant at the group. "So we'll kill him?", Flora asked in a rather curious tone. Toby nodded and everybody else agreed to his plan. Everybody else except for one. Molly. She just stared out of the window, her expression was fairly sad. "But I just don't understand why. We didn't do anything, why did he do that?", she asked, looking back at Toby. He squinched up his face and for a moment it seemed like he was lost in his memories. Suddenly, the male shook his head, then looked from animatronic to animatronic. "You don't want to know, believe me", he answered in a cold, almost threatening tone. Mimi pulled her sister behind her back. Whoever possessed that animatronic, she didn't like him. Toby's expression suddenly changed to a gentle smile. "No need to be upset. We don't want to fight, right?", he asked in an innocent voice. "Molly, you see, he did this. He is the reason you won't be able to return to your family. The least active task is cutting the connection to the city power, you could do that. Please, we need your help", he continued in a calming but also pressuring manner. Molly was silent for a second but then she agreed. While the male told Sascha and Mimi to patrol specific areas he showed them on the map, he got interrupted by Flora. "It was Toby, right?", she asked and he nodded. "Can I do it?", the female wanted to know. Surprised, he turned to her and looked her in the eyes. "You want to kill him?", he assured himself. Originally, he wanted to do that but maybe it was better if it was someone else. So he agreed. He showed her where she'd have to go through the vents since he assumed it would be the best way to get to the office without being seen. She then just had to wait for the killer to come and end his life. The moment everything was ready and everybody knew what to do, they heard the front door being shut. A grin formed itself on Toby's face, showing off his fangs again. "Seems like he's here. Any questions left?", he asked. Everybody shook their head. Everybody was ready - everybody had to be ready.
