Barry's POV
It was summer break and my girlfriend and I decided to spend some quality time together. Kara pulled me closer, hanging her arms around my neck as she laid down below me. On the couch set beside a bookshelf inside the Kent barn, we made out. Her soft lips aggressively pushing against mine, she licked my lips as I granted her access to enter it. We fought for dominance, but she let me win. We did this for a few more seconds before I reluctantly pulled out.
"Kara, I love you, but your parents can come in at any second now." I said. Martha had said that she and Mr. Kent were going out for a while, I was guessing that they could arrive in this very moment like how Kara mentioned their usual time before.
"No! Please babe, five more minutes." She pleaded, grabbing my hands and pouting.
"Okay, okay." I gave in, chuckling. I pushed my head down again to meet her lips. But right when I felt them, the doors opened.
"Honey, are you in here?" I heard Martha's voice from downstairs.
"Oh, crap." We both muttered. Quickly getting up from the make-out session, tidying and smoothing out the wrinkles on our clothes.
"Ye- yes, ma." Kara answered.
Martha walked up the stairs and put on a shocked expression, "Oh, I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?" She asked apologetically upon seeing us awkwardly standing and our shirts unbuttoned slightly.
"N- not at all, Mrs. Kent, I- I mean Martha." I sheepishly responded, my cheeks heated up, "We were just..." I drifted off.
"Hanging... out." Kara finished, biting her lower lip with a blush slowly creeping up her face.
"Crinkle." Martha pointed to Kara's forehead.
"I can- I- please don't be ma-" Kara stuttered, her face now beet red.
"I'm not mad." Martha interrupted, "But we do need to talk." She added, changing Kara's face into a state of worry."
Martha walked downstairs as I spoke up, "I'm sorry for that." Rubbing the back of my neck in the process.
"It's okay, just wish me luck." Kara giggled. She pecked me on the lips as I nod, smiling.
Kara's POV
I walked downstairs and I saw Martha standing there with an unguessable mien, "You're getting awfully close to that boy, aren't you?" She said, "Don't worry, I'm not mad, I promise." She added with a smile.
"I know, I just love him so so much." I answered.
"You... love him?" She asked, back to that unreadable expression.
"Yes, I really really do. I mean, who wouldn't?"
"Then tell him." She smiled once more.
"That I love him? Already have, multiple times." I asked, chuckling.
"Not that. I meant you, who you are, the real you." She confirmed. Ever since Barry told me that he loved me and I did too, I've always wanted to tell him about the whole story of me. But, I wanted to make sure that my parents or at least one of them were okay with it.
"Oh, are you sure? Because I really do want to tell him." I asked for conformation.
"You don't need my permission, Honey, I'm not your mother."
I nodded, "But you sure do feel like one." I hugged her tight, "Thanks mom, I think I've made up my mind."
We let go and she left the barn as I went back upstairs to find Barry nervously rambling to himself as he paces back and forth in front of the couch.
