Kara's POV

"Damn, this is good!"

"I told you." I responded to Barry. We had just went into our sophomore year and our first weekend had come up. Barry said that he has never tried Big Belly Burger before so I pulled him along with me to sit down at one of the restaurants in Metropolis. "Potstickers and pizza aren't the only good food, Barr." I added to him, smiling to the fact that I've won.

"Okay fine, you win." He replied softly, sniffing and frowning while looking down but he was still savagely chomping down the burger. I've made fun of him of being a picky eater for giggles every once in a while but not to the extent of possibility hurting his feelings. I've never thought that It could bother him, but now looking at him, I was only feeling regret and sadness.

"O- oh Barr, Barry, I didn't mean t- I- I'm sorry." I stuttered while looking at him with worry, then my head dipped down as my eyes looked at the ground.

He suddenly lifted my chin up as I meet back with the beautiful eyes of his. To my surprise, he was smiling, almost as if he was trying to hold in a laugh. He then gently places his lips on mine, giving me a small but sweet kiss. "Did I get you?" He asked giving a small chuckle.

"I told you not to do that again!" I replied with a raised tone and lightly slapping his arm. "But thank Rao that you're not mad at me." I added as I hugged him tightly, now with a face of relief.

"Sorry." He scratched the back of his neck as we let go. I hung my arms around his neck and smashed my lips into his, pulling him into another kiss, now filled with passion. He kissed back while putting his hands on my waist. I think the people nearby were staring at us, but I simply didn't care. We pulled out after a while for the necessity of air, our foreheads still touching with one another.

Suddenly, my ears picked up a high pitched ringing sound that shrieked like a banshee. I held my hands to my ears as I curled up in a ball. Barry immediately rushed to my aid and held my hands that was still on my ears in his. His face went to a state of worry and concern. "Breathe, Kara, focus on me." He said. I started to calm down and now my ears are only hearing Barry's thumping heartbeat. He slowly smiled weakly as he saw this. "You okay?" He asked as I nodded.

"What was that?" I asked.

However, before Barry could respond, a low and thundering voice emerged in my head, "Kara Zor-El, last daughter of Krypton, I hereby declare vengeance on behalf of what your kind did to mine." I recognized the voice immediately, 'It's a Zargomite!' I thought to myself.

"It's from a Zargomite." I then said aloud to Barry.

"Zargomite?" Barry asked, confused and wheezing hysterically. I looked at him confused on why he was laughing. He saw this and added, "What? It's a funny name." I only glared at him slightly for a response.

"A long time ago in Krypton, a group of travelers from outside of its solar ring came down with an armada of ships. This freaked out the Kryptonians into thinking that the visitors were there to take materials and or technologies by force. So, the Zargomites were slaughtered in an instant before they would even have the chance to communicate with the insiders." I said. It was near night time and we were inside the storm cellar at the Kent farm after reluctantly speeding Barry there to study the Zargomites on the information panel of my pod.

"Then why does it want revenge from you? You weren't even born yet." Barry asked.

I shrugged my shoulders and replied, "Some people would do actions to the extreme for things they believe in."
