Bart's POV

"We shouldn't be doing this."

"No, we shouldn't, but this is totally crash!" I exclaimed at my twin sister's words.

It was a massive hallway, the walls were made of some sort of dark-shaded metal. The floor tiled with lighter-tone ones. The air filled with constant and recurring noises of metal clanking, drone-ish humming and ventilation pumping. I was stunned by how well-made and cutting-edge the workers constructed this 'STAR Labs'.

"Would you cool it?!" Dawn whispered-yelled, "There's thousands of people down here!"

"Yeah, but I could just..." I stopped to vibrate my entire body, faster than the air molecules, changing to mist of nothingness.

My sister huffed in annoyance while rolling her eyes.

"And didn't you like mind-control a whole city that one time?" I then said once I stopped vibrating.

"It wasn't exactly a cakewalk, was it?" She shot back.

"Fine, let's just get this over with."

3rd Person POV

"Is this it?" Bart pulled out a small, handheld and metallic object with a pulsing purple glow, humming a small deep growl.

"Mmm... no." Dawn looked over from her brother's hand to folders scattered on the floor. Then, she unfolded the papers to skim through the many paragraphs and graphics in them, rustling the studies in the process.

The brother looked back at his cardboard box to dig and search again. After sounds of dense rocklike and tinny objects clattering, he halted on one similar to that of the object mentioned before. Now it was slightly larger, darker and shined a dark yellow light in strips on its sides.

"That's it!" His twin softly exclaimed.

Bart turned to face the large, matte-grey, metal-wounded pipe. He pulled out the small machinery that was already in slot and slowly gravitated his item towards the vacant rectangular hole in said pipe, stopping at the entrance to look back at Dawn, waiting for her certainty.

She nods slightly.

He then starts to push it in again, a hair away from the slot, the device managed to snap into place like a magnet. After a small pause, it started to rotate on its horizontal axis, composing a stringy tune.

"Yes!" They yelled happily, high-fiving each other.

Their moment of triumph was suddenly interrupted by footsteps shuffling at the hallway nearby.

"Crap." Bart muttered, speeding to her sister grabbing her by the shoulders to a corner and vibrating both of them, now lost to sight.

The footsteps entered the room as feeble lights flicked on, revealing two men in white lab coats, which the siblings assumed were scientists with high clearances.

"No, nothing's here." One of them said.

"Dr. Wells, you might wanna see this... the hadron collider is working." The other inspected the slotted item, observing it closely, "Stable too, it seems."
