Just like that, two weeks flew by with prolonged hours of training. Lucas and the others were very helpful.

He is not that bad of a guy I guess. But still, that doesn't change what I think about him.

It was getting dark as the sun slowly set. The birds started going towards the sun while the clouds started getting darker.

I am hungry, didn't eat much due to training and now I am starving. So, I decided to go along with Carol and the others for dinner.

While I was on my way, I spotted Derek at the training ground. His gaze met with mine. And I understood what that meant.

I told the others that I won't be joining them. Lucas gave me a very sad face for some random reason. "Do you really have to? What if that wasn't the meaning." I just looked at him, casual as possible, but his sad eyes and face just made my heart beat crazy. I mentally cursed myself for that.

"Ahem... I will be back as soon as possible.", I replied. Still not satisfied with my words Lucas went along with the rest.

The main cabin cannot grow, right? Though made of logs which is living but killed but still a living thing. Looked so big as compared to last time for no reason. On my way in I looked at the large portraits that were hung on the wall. Carol and her boyfriend look so good together. There was another portrait of someone I know and cannot believe I didn't notice it was Lucas and Elijah. They both looked very happy and proud. A cherry smile spread on both their faces. For some reason, I found that odd in Elijah's face who always had a dull appearance.

His face always looked tired, but he was very energetic and always helped people in need. The completely opposite personality of Lucas. But seeing them together like this is kind of weird.

I went into the room where I always find Derek is. And as usual, he was there sitting in his armchair. Looking dead serious. His pepper and salt hairstyle were neatly kept in a very stylish manner. And his eyes were turning red like he never slept for thousands of years.

"Glad you came Maya. I hope you are aware of the upcoming event that will take place after this week I hope." I nodded remembering how terrible I have been doing these past two weeks. Despite long hours of training, I never improved much though the others kept on saying I will do well. It felt very embarrassing and shameful when I am not good enough.

Why is it that everyone in this world can achieve anything in such a limited amount of time but I can't?

I looked down embarrassed. Derek gave me a short stare and sighed, "What I am trying to be that, try working harder. I understand that you just got here but we can't keep that as an issue for the current scenario. Since you are the only person who was able to lift that sword. I want you to work hard." I felt shattered. Well, this is usual anyways. Even in my original world, I was never "good enough" for anything. No matter what I do, I get some sort of advice to do better. I always constantly get compared with my friend in my class.

There were times when people asked them why they even hang out with me. They would just playfully say that they don't know, and I would go playfully along with it. After the conversation, they would say that it was just a joke.

Ya, a joke. My life is always a joke.

I left Derek's room and went inside my cabin.

No one was inside. All empty and dark. No sound.

I decided to get changed from my sweaty clothes and go to bed.

I tried sleeping but can't. I was wide awake rewinding what happened at the main cabin and remembering the things I went through in my original world. Started giving me headaches.

I heard a noise coming from the main entrance of the cabin. Carol. She knocked on my door and I let her in. "Hey, are ya ok? You didn't come for dinner." I looked at her still lying on my bed. "Ya, I am... fine. Nothing to worry about. I was not hungry so that's why I didn't come." "You sure?" "Yes, I am," I confirmed with an appealing smile that I always show to people. A fake smile that anyone will believe in an instant.

I turned my head facing towards the wall of the window. I tried to sleep again but still can't. That's when I heard a strange voice.

"Hey, you up?" I got straight up on my bed as soon as I heard that familiar voice. To my surprise, I found a tall guy with black jet hair and green eyes in front of my window smiling very proudly as to what he was doing. "What are you doing here? The wolfs might think that you are some threat  to the camp." Lucas gave me an annoyed look and came a bit closer to my window. His face was a bit clearer now. It was hazy due to the darkness at first.

"Just come out of your cabin, will you? Don't make any loud noise and come out fast otherwise, the wolf would think of me as a threat  as someone who referred to me as." I rolled my eyes. And went out of my cabin to meet Lucas at the entrance.

The night was warm due to summer heat. I was able to see the stars in the sky, they looked like diamonds shattered into pieces like me. I went to Lucas and whispered, "What are you doing here?" "Just follow me." "To where?" "Stop asking and follow." I decided to go along with him.

We hid ourselves from the wolf. One cabin to another.

We went further and further and finally came to one place that I never expected to go into.

The main cabin.

I felt uneasy. He looked at me and noticed how I felt. "We will be using the ladders which are right over there." He pointed towards the direction of the ladder. It was at the back of his cabin.

We climbed up slowly and did not make any noise. As soon as we reached the top I was surprised to see the view from the top of the main cabin. I was able to see the fire pit and all the other cabin which was surrounded by it. And up I can see the stars which were shining ever so bright. The night warm air and the stars just made my uneasiness go away like they never were there.

We sat on the roof. Lucas was digging his hand into his pocket and handed me a cookie packet. Showing off his proud smile. I smiled and took it. I grabbed a bite. "Thanks, the cookie doesn't taste that bad." "You're welcome, my lady." I looked at him annoyed and replied "Don't "my lady" me." He chuckled.

After finishing my cookie. "Why did you bring me up here?" "I want to know about you." I was completely surprised to hear from him that. He was so sincere. He came all the way to my cabin to bring me up here, gave me a cookie knowing that I was starving, and asked me this. "Why?" I don't want to tell him or anyone what kind of person I am and what all I am going through. I always kept it to myself. My anger, frustration, and sadness and never let it out to anyone. But at times I do let it out when the bottle gets overfilled. Tears started rolling out of my eyes when all the things I went through slowly came inside my head.

One at a time.

"How embarrassing? I am very sorry for being-" I was cut off by Lucas's hug.
