I went inside my cabin took a bag and started to stuff some basic utilities. Extra clothes, shoes, and snacks, you name it. After finishing with everything I sat on my bed, dazed out. Thinking of what was going on. I looked at my room and remembered each and every corner of the room. And then I looked at the shelf that was right next to the entrance. It didn't have anything on it except for some books. And for some random reason curiosity got the best out of me. I went and picked a big from the shelf, which was glowing. Literally glowing.

The book was big and very heavy with lots of manuscripts written around the book. It looked like no one ever touched it. I was very curious as to what was written in it. I dropped it on the floor and sat down.

With heavy hesitation, I decided to open the book. I opened it. A large display was projected on the book. A big hologram-kind-of -thing. There were displays of different monsters and red dots pointing at each and every part of their body. The monsters all looked the same, but some had longer tentacles than the others. "What the heck is this?" I said it out loud. Not loud enough for people waiting outside.

And then it shut down on its own and the glow faded away. I was not sure whether pick that book up again. So, I decided to stay away from it and let it be on the floor.

A few minutes passed and nothing happened. No glow or anything. Only loud roar of wind outside. The cloud was getting way cloudier that it hid the sun rays very well.

I picked the book up and try to open it again, but it didn't open at all.

Weird.

I left my cabin and all my friends who were waiting outside came to me. They were all worried except for Carol who was boasting about me to each and every camper. God, this girl. Elijah came in front. He looked very ashamed. Who wouldn't be?

"Maya, I-I a-am s-s-sorry for the way I reacted towards you." It didn't look like he did it on purpose, but I feel betrayed for what he did. If I wasn't aware of his approach I don't know what would've happened. I didn't say anything because I felt something choking me. I tried to open my mouth, but I can't. That's when I felt a hand on my shoulder. A strong grip I must say. I didn't look back so that I won't keep my hopes up. Instead, I replied to Elijah with the support that the hand has given. "I understand but can you tell who told you to do that?" Elijah shuffled his feet and was trying hard to remember that person's name, was the name that complicated or something? Don't know. "That's strange I can't remember it. And I am not lying when I said that. It was someone who hypnotized me by reminding my past and all the torture. Oh-" then he lift his head up to the sky putting both of his hands back of his head and groaned out loud. "-took away my memory of that person."

I left out a sigh and decided to go back to the forest where the keeper had told me to come back. Derek and the others were waiting for me. Derek looked very nervous. He approached me, "Maya, be careful." That's all he said and went back to the place he approached from. "Alright, it's time to go. You are going to another world, another dimension. So, all you have to do is walk down that cliff." "Wait, what? Do you want me to die before I die?" Anger started to boil a bit. "I don't care if you do. But what I said was absolutely true." I went to the cliff and looked down. One jump I am dead. "The portal will be open till you come out. But if someone goes in and you came out that person will be stuck there forever." I gulped at the thought of being there forever. A world full of monsters. "Why exactly should I go there? What am I supposed to do there? Just killing all those monsters and coming back?" Wait, why did you the word 'just' for describing monsters?

"Didn't Derek tell you what you were supposed to do?" Derek bowed down and gave a silent no. "I thought you knew 'everything'," I yelled out, tired of all this drama regarding Derek. "Someone is getting cocky. We will see how cocky you are when you go there. All you have to do is get the blue emerald that only shines when it is brought towards the sunlight. There is only one blue emerald that shines because the rest all are rocks. You will have to travel a lot when you are in there when you get the gem. And when you get it you must place it on top of the biggest monster's head. When you did that you will be automatically brought here." "Why didn't you do that?", yelled out Lucas. He looked very tired. "Well, I like ordering not doing. So, ya that's why."

I turned my back towards my friends. And gave my final goodbye to everyone. Hope it's not completely my final goodbye.

I looked down again. I closed my eyes and counted till three. One.. Two.. Three...and jump!

The surface I landed on was wet and it also smelled funny. I didn't feel a single scratch on me. I opened my eyes and saw my first encounter a very slimy creature with no eyes but a big mouth and very big sharp teeth.

Monster.
