Another Dimension

Chapter 25-Reunion

Now 10 years have passed since I came back to my own dimension.

I got my dream job and now started my own business in my 20's. A big tech company and won the best businesswoman of the year. Starting the company wasn't that easy it took me 2 years to gather a lot of amounts and with the amount, I gathered I started the company. It took a year for the company to be successful. This indeed is a great achievement for me.

But the biggest one was tackling the mental trauma that I went through during my school days. A little heart-to-heart conversation and avoiding negative people in my circle was all I did. Little by little I succeeded to start a great life.

Today is another hectic day. A long number of meetings for the new partnership that I decided on and recruiting new employees. What a hectic day. But somehow I managed to hold my head high and tackle all the obstacles on my way with the help of my secretary Alisha.

She didn't get a job after 3 years of graduation and was in a very critical financial issue. I know someone like her could do many marvelous things. As soon as I started my company, I appointed her as my secretary.

Meetings were always held in a very smooth manner. My working hours and my regular days went flexible. I never let my work-life clash with the regular routines of my day.

She was the best and always the best.

The sunset was almost going to set. Finally, the day is almost over. That was until Alisha came in, "You have someone from the Sten & Co. company to meet you." What? I thought wondering why the word 'Sten' felt a bit familiar. "Do you know the reason?" She shook her head in her most polite manner. My heart started to beat a bit faster for some reason. "Shall I invite them in?" "You may."

She went outside and close the door before going out. I started wondering what kind of person I am about to meet. My mind was busy preparing for the person whoever it is, but my heart was fluttering at an alarming rate.

I started getting nervous for some reason.

The door opened. I stood up before the guest entered. I adjusted my professional outfit a bit and my long brown hair.

A tall man looking very professional and almost my age came in. He had black jet hair and beautiful green eyes with a small scar on his right brow.

He smiled making my heart melt at his appearance and letting tears out of my both eyes trailing on my cheek.

"Hi, sweetheart. How have you been?"

I ran towards him, and we embraced each other meeting after such a long time.

"Ahem, I will leave take my leave now.", Alisha said and left feeling very awkward. It was very awkward.

When the awkward environment settled, we both sat on the sofa in my office. "How did you find me?", I asked still trying to accept the reality. Lucas chuckled, "You were not that hard to find Ms. Businesswoman. It took quite a long to reach you, but I am glad that I finally found you by accepting my dad's offer to take over his company." "Oh, so you are the current head of Sten & Co.?" "No, but I am currently working as an intern. I finished my studies in business and worked in another sector for the experience." Our conversation went on and on regarding business forgetting about the real 'business'. "I thought we could start a partnership with your company.", Lucas said while my thoughts were somewhere else. "What?" "Since Sten & Co. is highly established by my grandfather your company will get a high rise boost. And, for other reasons of course. But mostly because of this." I understood his 'other reasons' but building a partnership takes a lot of time to trust the other company. "I will think about it and let you know."
