Chapter 9: a new world, a new box

Sorry for not uploading in a while but I was quite busy with things and also with my other story... a good match blows fire... (so be sure to check that out to).

But finaly it is here... Chapter 9! Have fun reading it!

Chapter 9: a new world, a new box

When I woke up I was in a strange bed. When I looked around I also noticed that I was in a strange room and somewhere deep down I had the feeling that I was not in my home town anymore. The feeling made me nervous and I wanted to get up.

Though on the other hand I did not want to know it. Part of me wanted it to be a dream though I knew that it wasn't. Finally I sighed and got up. Carefully I tiptoed to a nearby window and opened the thick curtain that was hanging in front of it. I was curious, though also afraid to find out where I was.

Then I started counting. 3, 2, 1, ½ I was nervous but then I did it. I finally opened the curtain. Somewhere I was hopeful. I was hopeful that I was still in my home town. Though I already knew that I wasn't. Still I was disappointed to see the completely different surroundings.

"Ah, you finally woke up!" Someone squealed behind me.  I sighed. "You've got to be joking me" I mumbled. "Hmm, what?" she said. Though I knew that she must have heard it with her vampire ears. I walked back to the bed and sat on it. I buried my face into my hands and began to cry. "Oh dear." The vampire said. She sat down beside me and putted an arm around me.

"Come on. It's not that bad. We'll have a lot of fun. I promise!" She said. I stopped crying and spoke but my voice cracked. "What happened to them?" I asked. "Hmm, What?" the vampire girl said. "I'm not joking Anny. What happened to my family?" I asked. My voice was more filled with anger. I grabbed the sheets and fumbled with them.

"Ah, uhm. Well, I'm not sure how to tell you this." Anny said. I shot her a look. "Alright okay. Uhm, Chandler erased their memories." Anny said. "He did what?" I half yelled. "Shh. It's okay." Anny said trying to keep me calm. "No it's not! So nobody knows I exist? Nobody knows I ever existed?" I felt angrier by the minute.

"Well, okay. See it this way. If we hadn't taken you with us and if Chandler hadn't erased their memory of you. Well, they and you would kind of be death." Anny spoke. I looked at her weirdly. "Explain" I ordered. Anny sighed.

"Well, in the vampire world there are rules. If we break the rules there are severe punishments. One of the rules is that we cannot let humans know we exist. At least not humans that live in the human world." Anny said and then she looked at me. I took the hint. "We are not in my world anymore?" I started to panic.

"Look. I don't think I'm explaining this very well. So maybe I should ask one of the guys." Anny said while standing up. "No!" I yelled. "Don't leave me." I shrieked. I was in total panic. What if she left me alone. Would I be attacked by something?

Anny sighed and sat back down beside me. "I'll start at the beginning okay?" She said. I nodded. "Well, in the vampire world there is a council. They see to it that the vampires live by the rules. They see to it that a vampire gets punished if they don't follow the rules. When they heard of you. That you knew about us. About vampires. Well, they first wanted to kill you and everyone around you, your family, school friends, well the whole town, but we all protested. At first the council wanted to kill us too. Me, Aldwyn, Bryant, Chandler, Wade and Vance but then they decided that it wasn't worth it to kill so many vampires over 1 human. So they gave us a choice. We had to kill you or we had to take you with us to the vampire world and make you one of us."

"What?" I panicked. "One of you. I have to become a vampire?" Then Anny nodded. At first I wanted to panic but then I decided that it wasn't worth it. "When?" I asked. "In time." Anny said. "Though we can have a lot of fun and being a vampire is super cool." She said with a smile. I sighed. "Maybe you're right. Maybe this isn't that bad. Maybe this is okay. Now everybody else can live a normal live." I said. My thoughts went mostly to Amber. She'd been my best friend but she'll be alright. Quin was a good guy and a good boyfriend. I had met him once but he seemed okay. He'll take good care of her. I just knew it.

"So what now?" I asked after a short silence. "I'm glad you ask." Anny said. "First of all you've got to change!" She said all excited. I looked at my clothes. She was probably right. "Come!" She said while dragging me to a walk in closet. I was in total shock. "All these clothes are for me?" I asked. Anny nodded. "Yep! Isn't it great?" She said. "How about you wear this?" she said while pulling out a purple and black laced dress. Together with black high heels. I looked at her. "You've got to be joking right? There's no way I'm going to wear that." I said firmly. "We'll see about that." Anny said while pushing me into a bathroom together with the dress. "Go and get a shower!" She yelled. HMPF. "I heard that!" She said. "Yeah right."

Then I walked to the shower and stripped my clothes of and actually the shower wasn't that bad. The warm water did me good. It also gave me time to think. Maybe living here wasn't that bad?

After the shower I dried myself off and looked at the dress. It was actually very pretty. Maybe I should wear it? Though It had been a long time since I 'd worn a dress and certainly a long time I had worn heels. Then I had second thoughts about the dress but then I remembered Anny. Well, she'd probably force me to wear it anyway so why not putting it on myself. So I did and the heels to. I wobbled out of the bathroom up to Anny. She sighed. "Come here." She said while sitting me down on a chair. Then she did my hair and make-up. I barely recognized myself. She had to be at least just as good as Amber. Then it flashed for me. Amber. I shook my head. I had to stop thinking about her. She did not know me anymore and it was better for me to forget about her to. So that I wouldn't feel the pain. I knew that I was lying to myself because I was pretty sure that I would feel the pain. Though I could at least do my best and hide it.

"Now let's go to the guys. They've been waiting for ages." Anny said while walking to the door. "Okay" I said while hurrying after her. When I was downstairs I heard a few whistles. "You look hot!" Bryant said. "Very hot!" Both Wade and Vance said. Chandler nodded and Aldwyn couldn't stop looking at me. "See. You look hot!" Anny said happily. Then Chandler walked up to me. "Aren't you mad?" he said. "For what?" I asked. "Me erasing you from everybody's memory." He replied. "Oh, uhm. No, I guess you couldn't help it. Vampire rule." I said while shrugging my shoulders. "Thanks." Chandler said while hugging me. "Hey, don't steal away my boyfriend." Anny said and then everybody laughed.

"Hey, I still have a present for you." Bryant said. "Oh, no you don't have to..." I tried to say but Bryant was already gone and got to get it for me. I sighed and sat down.

"Here." He said. I almost jumped back up. Bryant laughed. He was already back with his present for me. "You know. You have to get used to these kind of things when you live with vampires." He said. "Very funny." I said. "Okay, here." he said while giving me a small package.

I really thought that he had bought me lingerie or something like that but this didn't look like it. It was a small box. A jewellery box? "Now go ahead and open it." Bryant said. I nodded and carefully opened the lid of the box.

What I saw was amazing.
