JASMIN MARTINEZ

"Connor. I need your help, it's about Chase."

"Huh?" I lamely responded.

"Chase, he left Los Angeles."

"Okay?" Why is he telling me this?

"Oh my god." He sighed. "Can you come over to Chase's house or can we meet somewhere, please?" He pleaded.

"Connor, I'm confused. I don't understand how any of this is related to me."

"Can we just meet?" He asked again. "Please, Jasmin."

I looked at Xavier who was equally confused as I was. "Uh, sure?"

"Okay, thank you. Where can we meet up?"

"I'll come over."

"Great, thank you." He ended the call.

"What the fuck just happened?" I asked. "Connor didn't even talk to me and now he's asking to meet up."

"I just wanna sleep, what is this shit?" Xavier groaned.

I laughed, "I'll take my car and you can go sleep."

"Hell no! You think I'm leaving you alone?"

"Thank you."

I told him the directions to Chase's house and he drove. My mind circulating with all these questions.

I lit my cigarette and Xavier snatched it from me, placing it in his mouth. "Seriously, Xav?"

"Seriously, Xav?" He mocked, and I punched him in the arm.

"Do that again."

"Do- I'm joking stop." He stopped as soon as I punched causing the car to go in the other lane. "We almost just died."

"I wish that 'almost' wasn't in the sentence." I joked.

He opened the roof to his Audi R8, the wind hitting me in the face. "Jump out."

I unbuckled my seatbelt and acted as if I was going to jump out. "Jasmin, sit the fuck back down," Xavier yelled.

I laughed, "I was just listening to you. As Megan Fox would say, 'whatever Daddy says'."

"Dumbass." He muttered.

I burst into laughter as a little faint smile came on his face. "I question how you have a multi-billionaire company."

"Hey!" I remarked. "Don't question my capabilities."

"Sorry, boss."

I put back my seatbelt and connected my phone to the car's Bluetooth. I blasted on music and started dancing. Xavier joined in, and we started singing loudly.

We were laughing, having the time of our life. It was a karaoke session in the car. And, people dare to say you need a big group of friends.

Xavier's phone rang and I flinched from the loud noise. Xavier started laughing, "Fuck off."

I disconnected my phone from the Bluetooth as Xavier put the roof back on. He picked it up and his phone automatically connected to the Bluetooth.

"X," Xavier said as soon as he picked up.

"I need an assassination done." The person on the other line stated.

A smile forming on my face, let's fucking go.
