Freya
Sunlight was beginning to illuminate the throne room in a warm light. With it empty like this it was peaceful. Lexa was looking at a map on the table she'd had brought in before dismissing the guards from the room. I was walking around the room blowing out some of the candles now that the sun was rising.
For a moment I stood across the room watching her. Her back was rigid and her shoulders were tense. I know why. With Clarke now agreeing to talk to skaikru the threat felt that much more real. Azegeda was going to strike soon. Their armies haven't attacked any of the villages yet but tensions were high.
I left her to her thoughts for another minute and walked over to her throne. Up close it was always easy to be mesmerized by it. It's polished and is covered in carvings that you wouldn't see unless you were this close. Running my fingers along the arm rest I could still see her stressed over that table. "Lexa" I called to her softly.
She turned with a slight frown. I crooked my finger at her silently asking her to come over. Biting her lip she took a last look at the papers on the table before stepping up to her throne. "You're stressed" I said.
Lexa set her hands on my waist, it'd become her natural response when we stood face to face. "There's a lot to consider" she sighed.
I set my hands on her biceps and squeezed them lightly. She made an effort to ease the stiffness from her muscles. "You don't have to handle it all on your own like you've had to in the past" I said.
Her face crunched, "I can't put the stress of being commander on you, Freya."
"You are the commander but I won't let you put yourself through this. I'm here to be with you in any way" I said lightly pushing her back to sit on her throne. I sat down on her lap kneeling on either side of her legs. Lexa blinked distractedly and moved her hands to my thighs. I smirked setting a hand on the throne behind her head. "How about I help you take your mind off it" I leaned down to her ear. "I know you like sitting on your throne like this" I whispered.
"Freya" she warned in a low voice. Teasingly I nipped at her ear. She moaned giving in and pulled me to her lips by tangling her hand in my hair. I ran my hands down her chest making her moan so I could slip my tongue into her mouth. Her hands ran under my tank top. I started undoing the three buttons the top of her shirt had. Lexa was trying to take over the kiss but I wouldn't let her. Pushing her harder against her throne I bit at her bottom lip teasingly before kissing down the side of her neck.
There was a knock on the doors making me pull away. Lexa sighed frustrated closing her eyes. I smiled amused although aroused, giving her one more kiss and getting off her lap. I tamed my hair then pulled my tank top down so my abdomen wasn't exposed. "Enter!" Lexa cleared her throat and shouted so it could be heard.
The doors cracked open for Clarke to enter and then were pulled shut by guards on the other side. "Hi Clarke" I said.
"Hi Freya, morning commander" she greeted both of us. Lexa stood and stepped down from her throne to stand with us. Clarke raised an eyebrow having noticed the buttons undone on Lexa's shirt. Lexa walked pass us to the table, subtly redoing the buttons. "When did this happen?" she asked reaching out to touch my shoulder. My tank top exposed the trikru tattoo that spiraled down my bicep. It's been covered by longer sleeves while it was still in its healing process.
"Not so long ago" I said walking over to Lexa's table. Lexa was studying the large map still.
Titus appeared having entered from the small side entrance. It was the only other door to the large throne room. His hands were in the sleeves of his robe. Said robe was long enough that it seemed as if he was gliding over the floors. It was made of thick fabric that deafened the sound of his footsteps. "Heda" he bowed.
