Freya

I wasted no time after killing the first grounder that swung his sword at me. That swing was aimed to kill. They aren't here to mess around they're here to kill me. The rest circled me ready to strike at a moments notice. I remained moving keeping my eyes on all of them. I count four in front of me but that doesn't mean there aren't more hiding in the trees.

All of them larger men one with an axe, two with swords and the last held a long dagger but had a bow and set of arrows over his back. The archer was the first to lunge towards me. Grunting I swung my stick knocking the dagger from his hands then cracking it against his head with as much force I possibly can. Blood leaked from his head as he stumbled back desperately grabbing at his head to stop the bleeding. But it didn't matter he was dead before he hit the ground.

One of the remaining three let out a yell rushing forward with the others a step behind. They attacked me one after the other. Quickly I managed to knock them off their feet just barely dodging strikes from either a sword or an axe. With a grunt one of them charged me throwing his shoulder into my chest. I fell to the ground and before I could think I instinctively held my stick up to block the hit. The grounders axe cut through my stick before managing to scrape through my shirt. Thankfully my stick blocked most of it or I'd be dead.

Rolling out of the way I pulled my knife from my belt. Jumping up I kept them in front of me giving me an escape route. However it would lead further away from camp. Oh well, as long as they're after me they aren't chasing Octavia.

Another man with a sword ran forwards trying to grab me. Ducking I stabbed my knife through his armor into his ribcage. Blood poured down my hand as I twist the blade causing him to grunt. The two remaining grounders watched with a look of slight shock. In the blink of an eye I pulled my knife from the man and threw his lifeless body into them. Now it's time to run like hell.

Moving as fast as my tired legs could I jumped fallen logs and tried to miss mud pits that would slow me down. Darting between the trees I ran left then right the left again refusing to leave an easy trail to follow. I can hear them running after me in my general direction. This time they weren't subtle about where their feet landed as they chased me.

My legs ache I have to stop. I have to get rid of them so I can make it back. It doesn't help that I am now even further from camp. Ducking behind a fallen tree I needed to wait for them to catch up. I tried to land gracefully but I ached from training with Octavia. Clumsily I fell forward onto my hands and knees.

You can do this, Freya. You have to stay alive. We just got in contact with the Ark! Anna is still up there waiting god damn it. It's all or nothing you weren't raised to run from a fight. Pulling myself from my thoughts the grounders appeared looking around in each direction. They spoke in their native language that I don't understand but one pointed pass the other with the axe. I think they just agreed to spilt up to find me. I smirked to myself. They just made this easier for me.

Moving slowly so I could remain unseen I followed the one with the sword. He didn't notice me as he scanned the area up ahead. I was close enough now, hiding behind a tree. Grabbing a few pebbles I leaned out carefully and threw them causing them to scatter against a tree trunk to his left. His attention shifted the instant the sound met his ears. Without hesitation I grabbed him pulling him back into the same tree I hid behind. I covered his mouth with my hand I stabbed my knife into his throat. His eyes wide with fright. Blood ran across my arm and splattered against my face and chest due to him attempting to yell something out. I yanked the knife from his neck. Catching his body I guided him to lean against the base of my hiding spot so it didn't attract the attention of the last grounder. Tucking my knife back into my belt I took the dead grounders sword. He won't be needing this anymore
