Freya

My stomach growled angrily from not eating in almost two days. My arm throbbed, before I left Anna wrapped it in cloth. It was all there was for makeshift medical supplies without going back into the mountain. And I wasn't going to ask Anna to go back in after what they did to her. I can deal with the throbbing as long as nothing touched it. The adrenaline wore off hours ago.

Leaning against a tree I tired to rub the tiredness from my eyes. It didn't help that I hadn't slept very much before the attack on Mt Weather either. Dried blood still covered every inch of my face. But I could deal with that too.

Anna also put my wounded arm in a sling. I felt off balanced because of it. The tree bark dug into my shoulders as I leaned my hips away to twist my sword to my other hip. I need it to be more accessible since it had been on the same hip as my good arm. Pushing off the tree with my unwounded arm I continued on. I tried not to make much noise, not knowing what is out here.

I hadn't come across any reapers yet but Bellamy mentioned to watch out for them. He told me they were controlled by a drug Cage had been giving them and now they will be in withdrawal. As much as I don't care for Bellamy I still stored the information away seeing as he had faced a reaper before. Lexa kept me in camp and because of that I'm feeling a bit sheltered right now.

Lexa. She accepted that deal, if she hadn't the entire battle could have had a different outcome. What could have happened is what is messing with my head. If Trikru had stormed the mountain with Skaikru would Anna and Raven been taken to the harvest? Would they have died in a last defense attempt by Cage and the mountain? Or would everyone have been unharmed? Because I don't know these things for certain I'm torn between acceptance and betrayal. Lexa betrayed Skaikru for the good of her people. Even though there are only a handful of Skaikru that I would choose to save I still wonder how I should be feeling.

But the fact is I'm not a member of Skaikru anymore I'm Trikru.

"How's about you forget that emotional bullshit and open your eyes to the hill in front of you."

My head whipped in each direction, I even spun around looking for the familiar voice. "Still in that silly mind of yours? Thought I taught you better than that." There he was the same superior look on his face. My father.

"Why are you here?" I asked balling my hand into a fist. He answered by stepping to the side and gesturing to the physical hill behind him but in front of me. It stretched as far to the left as it did the right with no way around it. It was easily twenty feet high and steep. It was covered in trees of all ages and boulders.

I blinked and my father was standing a few feet up on the hill. Cliff is more accurate. "You'd of had a plan devised for climbing this if you weren't acting like one of the spoiled kids on the ark" he taunted me. With a huff I marched up to the cliff and began it climb. "No ones going to baby you out here!" he laughed at me.

The cliff was steeper than it looked. Pulling myself up with one arm I braced my feet against the trunk of a bigger tree. "No ones ever babied me" I breathed. "Especially you!" I yelled not turning to look at him.

He appeared higher up now to my left. He squatted, resting his elbows on his knees. "That the best you've got?" he chuckled. "Stop clutching your arm like a damn purse and climb, Freya!"

Angrily I reached for a branch and hoisted up myself another foot. My father stood in front of me and with the noise from the tree cracking he kicked me in the chest. Sending me tumbling down the cliff. I was moving too fast to grab onto another tree. I slammed through smaller trees and over every rock. Covering my head with my arm I landed on a boulder. My ribs screamed from the landing. Wheezing I laid there face down against the boulder.
