Chapter 24: Reminiscent

"Please take me home." Levi was scared and didnt know what was happening he screamed for Armin and he came into the room and looked at the scene before him. Eren looked terrified and Levi looked confused.

"What's going on guys?" Eren tried to shake free of Levi's grip but couldn't budge. He tried to kick Levi off of him, but Levi held on tight he wasn't letting him go.

"Oh Armin!! Please help me i dont know whats going on where are we??" Levi looked to Armin thinking he had done something. Armin didn't like that look he felt fear like never before. The man was silent and still holding Eren down he felt a sudden rage towards Armin for some reason.

"Eren what are you talking about. This is where we stay with Levi." Eren looked up at the older man, he looked hurt but Eren really didnt know him.

"Okay who is Levi? I have never met this man before!" Levi looked Eren in the eyes and he was met with a soft look like a look of defeat.

"Eren please stop saying that." Levi said painfully. Armin crouched by Eren and told Eren he had nothing to worry about and that they would let him go if he would just explain for a minute. They let Eren sit on the bed and calm down before questioning him.

"Eren whats the last thing you remember?" Eren took a deep breath, and he closed his eyes and seen flashes of a male and him under white sheets. He seen laughing and kissing. Flickers of tears and blood. He felt heat and couldn't see through the steam. He remembered being threatened and hearing screaming , he all of a sudden felt a flash and got the sudden urge to protect someone important. None of this made sense but he remembered two specific people that he would never forget.

"I remember protecting you and Mikasa from Kit...thats the last thing i recall and i know i transformed and when i woke up i was here." Armin's eyes widened and Levi was shook he doesn't even think he knew Eren at this point.

"Armin how long ago was that?" Levi asked very carefully, scared for the answer he was about to get and how much he would have to explain to Eren.

" 10 years after the wall being broken by Bertholdt." Levi couldn't believe it... Eren had absolutely no clue who he was. Why did his memory back track? You'd think it would have been lost for good from the past but now Levi has to try to get Eren back to himself maybe jog a couple memories. He wasnt going to lose the boy this easily.

"I- Im sorry ... Did you say Bertholdt!? He is our friend!" Armin felt a little sick from past events but continued on.

"Yes him but im sure Levi will explain." Armin sighed.

Levi touched Erens hand and he flinched. "Eren mind if me and you speak alone so i can explain who i am and whats going on??" Eren looked to Armin who nodded, he knew Levi was hurt. "Its okay Eren he's a good guy and he only means well." This could have been Armin's chance to alter everything and show Eren he was the one for him , but he knew the right thing to do and left the room without another word.

Now Levi and Eren were all alone and Levi has a lot of explaining to do. Even the bad which would be hard for him as well.

" Hi Eren, my name is Levi Ackerman and well im a lot more to you than you think." Eren was surprised he remembered looking up to him for so long!

"Captain Levi? Its really you? Man I've wanted to meet you for so long!" Levi grinned but he knew this boy was in for it.

"Yes...well not exactly, you see i used to be Captain Levi before i died....before we all did." Eren didn't understand, Levi looked real to him. He felt pretty real too, Eren slowly reached up to his face and touched it. Levi couldn't help but smirk this boy was so adorable.

"We are alive now, we just weren't previously. This is a new life, I met you in the previous one after cutting you out of your titan and well beating you in front of the court to prove i could kill you any chance given." Levi was carefully observing Eren to try and see his reaction.

"So i was basically a harm to society? Well im not really sure whats going on." Eren face palmed

"Okay what else do you remember Jaeger?" Levi waited for a response which took a moment.

"My name is Eren Jaeger, Im 15 years old and my mother is Carla Jaeger and father is Grisha Jaeger. I have a sister named Mikasa Ackerman and my bestfriend Armin. I grew up in Maria and a titan broke down the wall ending my mothers life. Me, Armin and Mika all joined the cadet corp and then that was really it and i was on my way to being a scout. After that it went black." Levi figured this would be the information he recieved.

"Well Eren a lot has changed and im about to explain it all to you in one go...are you prepared to listen to what you're about to hear?"

"Uhh i think so hehe." Eren grinned shyly and leaned forward to be mentally prepared.

"Here goes nothing... Well we all fought the titans right? Well me and you...we were a ...team. And we fought with all of our comrades. Well many people we knew died or disappeared along the way. Im going to name them....
Marco , Annie , Bertholdt , Reiner, Ymir , Sasha , Jean , Connie and Armin then Me... Your brother was the one to actually kill me.. Hanji and Mikasa were the only survivors and stayed with you as your years passed. Well we all were brought into this new life where we had a second chance and there aren't any titans either. You are actually 17 now but your birthday recently passed we just weren't able to celebrate. Your mom is still alive and well but she works all the time and allowed me to take custody of you because your father is a bad man... He caused you pain in your past life and in this one so I put him away. We've been through a lot lately but its confusing. Im your French Teacher and Mikasa isn't your sister anymore. We roomate with Armin and Hanji currently but Hanji is on a last minute vacay. I recently ran into your brother again but he isn't a good man either and you are um dating Jean so dont freak out there's a bunch going on. Well brat thats basically the gist... So uh how you feel?"

....Eren was processing everything..

His dad wasn't a good man? His mother was alive? He had a brother? And Mikasa wasn't a part of his family? Everyone died in the past?? This is a new life??? What? HE WAS DATING JEAN FUCKING KIRSHTEIN!!???

"Im 17?"....Thats all he had to say? Levi didn't believe that his thoughts weren't doing laps around his mind.

"Uh yeah kid." Levi didnt really have much else to say.

"And you said we were partners? Like just us two?" Levi nodded and Eren hummed his still had a few questions but they could wait.

"Well anyways kid you have school tomorrow and I can't miss any more days or my boss will have my ass so if you need any assistance just let me know." Eren smiled a sweet smile and wanted to hear more from Armin. But little did he know that Armin had no intention on speaking up.

A/N: MANGA SPOILER AHEAD !!!!!!

Hey guys soo im starting to be more frequent in posting but i started this before the 4th season or manga reveals came out. Ive caught up and i know my lovely Hanji is ....yeah but in my story they live. Armin gets yeeted tho bc instead of Eren its him. And same with Levi but yeah sorry if its a little confusing im trying to morph it into a more modern updated version of the storyline bc i wanted it to be based around that. But i still remind myself this is my story so please be patient with me but yeah Armin and Levi go bye bye and Eren and Hanji stay and i didnt really know abt Jean soo he went bye bye in my story too XD.

P.S. I know very well hanji is gender fluid, gender non specific but i didnt know when i started the book because i had only watched the anime where it said she so in my story its She/They. Because its hard for me to find every addressing towards them. I just needed to address these so there wasn't any confusion!
