I Found You

Chapter 5: Secrets

Levi was thinking and Eren was right, he's been alone for so long but that wasn't a reason to not go home and he wanted to know why he was so desperate to come over. Levi has seen the marks and knows Eren is going through something at home but what was it? That night Eren let his mother know he was going over to a friend's house to stay the night and his mom approved so instead of getting stuff he had Levi drive him by his house because he'd have to walk two miles and he was already in pain.
Levi and Eren walked out of the school towards the parking lot where Eren saw Levi's car and his jaw instantly dropped.
"Woah, this is your car?" 'How much do teachers get paid!'
"Yeah, now are you gonna get in or not?" Levi wouldn't admit it but he was happy even though he felt off about something and wished he knew what it was.
"So what do you do in your free time?" Levi just looked at Eren like he was stupid.
"What is this twenty questions, and I could ask you the same." Eren didn't know what he meant while Levi just admired his attire and didn't say anything about it.
"No, I just wanted to know what your life has been like and especially with how different everything is from back then."
"Well except for you and Jean." Now that was cold, Eren began to pout and Levi just smirked and boy was that spicy. Levi decided it was time to tell Eren something really important. "Also you're still in a dress I hope you know." Eren finally understood what he meant and Levi lended him his jacket to cover himself.
"Dick."
"Wow, that hurts really, I'm so offended." Levi liked seeing Eren angry he's missed happy moments like this, they were worth every second. Levi still had a question for Eren.
"So why did you dress like that anyway."
"Mikasa's a bitch." Eren began to mumble under his breath and shuffle in his seat.
"Oh, I see it's because of incestry."
"Huh? No she dared me to." What did Levi even mean? Eren didn't care to ask.
"Well I can agree that it was entertaining, but I knew to let you two fight it out and that's why I didn't jump in instantly ." Levi didn't care to intervene, it wasn't that serious but then he remembered that school was no place to have an ordeal like that.
"Oh, well it didn't matter to me I just wanted to shut his face." It began to get dark and the sun hit Eren's face just right so you could see all the colors melded together in his eyes and that's when Levi got lost in them. Oh how beautiful those eyes were, it looked like the sunset mixing with the ocean to create the perfect piece of art. Levi was starting to get close to Eren's house and he could see why Eren didn't want to go back, it was so rundown, Maria was known to be a bad place to live .
"Eren, why do you live here?"
"Well mom works a lot and is only home on weekends, it's usually just me..and..dad hehe." Now Levi was wondering where Eren got those marks and he thinks he found the answer. Levi remembers in the past where Eren's father had done things in the past that were counted as violent and treason and Eren being around him worries Levi.
"Are you and your dad okay together...alone?" Levi needed to know that he was safe. " You can tell me anything."
"Y-yeah." ' Good job Eren , couldn't keep it together...again.' He just wanted to be with Levi, he didn't want all these questions.
"Also since I'm trying to get things out in the open, I want to let you know that I did try to be with someone, but that was two years ago, and then I saw you and had to leave them, because knowing you were alive and you existed...made it hard to be with someone else and give them my heart." Eren was fuming, after everything...
"Who is he! That's it I'm gonna murder him, who the hell thinks they can just take someone's ma-."
"Eren, it wasn't a he."
"It was a her? What the actual fuck Levi!" Eren couldn't believe what he was hearing, a girl? " Aren't you gay? Am I the only one that remembers us?" Levi understood Eren had every right to be mad but there's nothing wrong with taking a shot at happiness.
"No, I didn't forget that's why I left her."
"But a girl? And I hope you know that after you-" Levi didn't want to hear the rest.
"Eren please stop, just saying it is gonna hurt us both." Levi grabbed Eren's hand to calm him down but it was to no avail. Levi didn't want to hear that word or see the pain in his beloved eyes, he's already been through so much and he doesn't need to suffer anymore.
"D-died, I didn't want to live on but I did and I never loved another person because I didn't want to forget your touch."
Was Levi fucking stupid, could he really move on that easy and just forget Eren, and Eren was just hurting himself to prove a point and it's Levi's fault.
"You have to see it from my view, I'm older than you and I didn't know if you'd even remember or if I'd find you so I had to learn to love without you and it hurt..a lot..it hurt like a bitch, but then you walked into my class two years ago and I knew I'd win you over if you didn't remember, I realized I never moved on." Eren was speechless.
"Levi, I've just..been through so much and you're still the love of my life." Those kind of things are the things that make Levi want to spend the rest of his life with Eren... again.
