Chapter 9

** Izuku's POV **

I didn't say anything and stood there while protecting Ochako so Mr. Aizawa didn't see her. He spoke up, "Don't think about jumping out of the window again. Hound Dog is waiting for you outside if you do jump." I gritted my teeth and glared at Mr. Aizawa then looked out the window to see Hound Dog waiting outside. I can't use my quirk because Mr. Aizawa is going to use his quirk and if I just jump out of the window then Hound Dog will catch me.

I had no choice but to give in and go with Mr. Aizawa to the principal's office. Right when I was about to say something but Mr. Aizawa spoke up, "Who is that, Midoriya?" My eyes widen in surprise when he points at Ochako who is still hiding behind me. "Oh, I see. I have another troublemaker, you'll be coming with me, too." I turned around and see Ochako stand there frozen in shock then I spoke up, "No, she won't be coming with, Mr. Aizawa. She did nothing wrong so she won't be going with you anywhere."

Mr. Aizawa gritted his teeth and asked, "Then, why is she here with you?" He crossed his arms but kept his guard up while I answered him, "She was being bullied by someone and I beat up that asshole so I brought her here." I didn't exactly lie to Mr. Aizawa except for the last part so Ochako wouldn't get in trouble. "Wait... You got into a fight, Midoriya?.. All the more reason to take her with me," he calmly said, grabbing his white scarf. "No, she's not going with you. How about we make a deal?"

Mr. Aizawa thought about it for a moment and nodded his head. Then I spoke up, "If I go with you to the principal's office, without putting up a fight then you don't take the girl with you." Mr. Aizawa may be strict but he's lazy and known for expelling students. "Fine, let's just go. I don't want to fight you, Midoriya." I smirked underneath my mask as Mr. Aizawa turned around then I patted Ochako's head. I whispered in her ear, "Don't worry about me. I always find a way out, Ochako."

I walked away from her as she stood there then I see Mr. Aizawa waiting for me outside of the classroom. "I thought you'd backed out on the deal," he said, giving me a cold stare. "No, I always keep my end of the bargain, Mr. Aizawa." He let out a long sigh and started walking as I followed behind then I started humming to myself. I turned my head and see Mr. Aizawa staring at me when I realized that I'm walking beside him. I stopped humming and didn't say anything to him.

"You must like to hum when you're walking."

"I guess you can say that... Trying to have a small talk with me?"

"You can say that considering it's your second day here and you already caused trouble."

"I must've caught a lot of attention from the school's staff, especially the principal."

"Oh, you'll be surprised."

I was going to say something but someone accidentally bumped into me causing them to drop the stack of papers that they were carrying. "Sorry, that I was in your way. I'll help you pick up your papers," I apologized, kneeling and picking up the papers. The person who bumped into me did the same but I really need to go to the principal's office since I can feel Mr. Aizawa's eyes burning holes through the back of my head plus it won't take long.

I noticed that the papers had a design on each one that I've picked up, then I spoke up, "You have some cool designs there." Thanks! I designed them myself!... You stepped on a few of them." I quickly apologized, "I'm sorry. I'm in a bit of a hurry, here are your other designs." I quickly handed her designs and walked away with Mr. Aizawa following behind. She called out, "Hey, wait!"

I made it to the principal's door and Mr. Aizawa knocked on the door then the principal spoke up, "You may come in." Mr. Aizawa opens the door and I see a white animal sipping a cup of tea which I didn't say anything about. "Midoriya, come sit down and have a cup of tea with me," it said, as I walked over to a chair. I sat down but didn't grab the cup of tea from the table. I don't take off my mask in front of people because of my scar. "Sorry, I'm okay. So... You're the principal of the school, huh?"

"Yes, I'm the principal of U.A High. My name is Nezu, I called you here because of what happened during the morning announcement. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

"I just beat up an asshole because he was bullying a girl and was about to hit her. I'm not going to apologize to that asshole because I don't regret it."

"Such foul language, Midoriya. You do realize that you can be expelled, right?"

I stayed silent for a moment while I looked at Principal Nezu and Mr. Aizawa then I spoke up, "I know that I'll be expelled since I've been expelled from many different schools so it doesn't faze me." Principal Nezu starts coughing out his tea and Mr. Aizawa goes over to him and starts patting his back. "But it doesn't say anything about you being expelled in your school records," Principal Nezu exclaimed, cleaning up. "Oh, you'll be surprised by the kind of secrets that every school has that I've gone to."

I leaned back on my chair and crossed my arms then I spoke up, "Are you going to expel me or not?" Mr. Aizawa answered, "Well, I can expel you." He's being cautious since I can do something unexpected and they're thinking of the worst cases possible."Can't you just put me in detention?" They stayed there frozen and stared at me then thought for a moment. "Then, it's settled! Midoriya, you will go to detention," Principal Nezu said, getting more tea for himself. "Okay, you guys really saved yourselves from massive trouble."
