* Simons pov*

I woke up to a pounding headache.

I sat up rubbing my face.

" Ah fuck." I said to myself quietly.

I had too much to drink last night, I couldn't even remember how I got back to my room. I do remember how I got drunk though. I remember seeing Willie with Annie dancing, I think I got really jealous and walked away to where Felice was. And then had too many shots.

" Morning."

Wilhelm had emerged into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist, his wet hair dripped onto the bear skin of his chest. I had a feeling I was staring for too long so I looked away.

" Morning." I said in my raspy morning voice.

" How did I get back here last night?" I asked curiously.

" You were so drunk last night you couldn't even walk straight, so I walked us back."

I blushed, I hope I didn't say anything stupid.

" Thanks."

I sat up fully and put my legs on the floor.

Wait I'm only wearing underwear. I looked over to Wilhelm's bed to see that it was perfectly made. Like it hadn't been used yet. Realisation struck me, I was now wide awake. Shit, shit , shit.

" Hey um, did we err do anything?" I asked him awkwardly.

He looked at me confused by what anything meant but he then seemed to realise.

" Oh, No! No! We didn't, I just made my bed neatly today."

Relief washed over to me, I knew Wilhelm would never have sex with me while drunk even if we were together, but I just wanted to make sure.

After that things got a bit awkward so I changed in the bathroom, and headed to breakfast. I sat down at the end of the table and struck up a conversation with another first year, Wilhelm sat across from me talking to Walter and Henry. That's when James walked in and sat right beside me, even though I was looking down at my plate I could feel Wilhelms stare on both of us.

" Hey Simon." James said.

" Hey." I spoke.

" I had fun last night at the party with you. I didn't know you were such a good dancer." He said flirtatiously and then smirking.

I glanced up at Willie to see him glaring at James angrily, was he jealous?

I knew that James liked me, it was obvious from all the flirting. I liked James but nothing more than a friend type way. He was nothing compared to Wilhelm.

Class begun and we were arranged into our seating charts. I was no longer sitting with Sara for every class. I was starting to make friends and it felt good. I sat next to Wilhelm in English, we both were pretty surprised that the teacher sat us next to each other giving what happened and all.

In math class I'm
sat next to James and he's been flirting with me furiously all day. In math, he said

" That hoodie looks really cute on you."

Apparently James is also bisexual, some girls came over to him asking him if it was true and he said it was.

* Wilhelm's pov*

Every year the school has a tradition that the students have been doing for many years. It's called the 'vintersimma' (Winter swim)
The tradition was that one day the students of Hilleskra would sneak out early in the morning to have a cold swim in the lake. I had no idea when this tradition started or why it did, but people made a big deal out of it.

It has been a few weeks since the first day back at Hilleskra, the days have gone by so fast but at the same time so slow and I knew that didn't make sense at all but I didn't know how else to describe it. Me and Simon don't really talk other than the fact that we're roommates. It's been hard to sleep knowing that Simon is across the room, because I crave his touch, especially at night. James has become closer to Simon, and started flirting with him way more than usual. I think he's going to ask him out soon and the thought of that makes me want to cry. I knew that Simon was going to move on at some point but it still hurt me, like a sharp dagger had been stabbed into my heart.

" Willie wake up, it's vintersimma!"

My eyes fluttered open to see Simons beautiful face.

The best way to wake up.

" C'mon get up we're gonna be late!" He said.

I got up from bed to see Simon was already changed. He was wearing sweatpants and a baggy t shirt.

"Hurry up, sleepyhead, I'll be outside waiting for you." He spoke.

I rubbed my eyes and yawned.

" Do you even know how to swim?" I asked smirking.

" Yeah duh!"

" how do you swim?"

" Um, you just not drown."

"Okay well try not to drown out there."

He laughed so beautifully, revealing his perfect smile. The smile that could light up a whole room, his smile alone could make my whole day better.

" I'll try." He said before climbing out the window.

I quickly put on my briefs, pants and shirt on not wanting to miss the jump. I ran outside to where everyone was. They were all gathered on the dock, stripping into their swimmers. I saw Simon taking off shirt to reveal his beautiful skin, I blushed so hard that if anyone was looking at me they would ask why I was as red as a tomato. I stripped to my briefs and stood on the dock, in line with everyone.

" 3.. 2..1."

Everyone jumped in. Some did backflips, some jumped normally, some did somersaults. But I turned around so my back was facing the water.
As I was falling I felt the breeze in my hair, I heard the laughter of everyone. I was in the water. The coldness hit me and I was now awakened even though I was already awake. I swam back up to the surface.

I saw Simon with his friends, splashing around laughing like little kids. His friends swam away and he was left by himself. I started swimming over to tell him well done for not drowning as a joke. But that's when someone reached him before me.

It was James.

How the fuck was this guy so fast?

He was smiling at Simon and playing with his hair.

That's when I realised it.

I didn't care what my family had to say, what Sweden had to say, what the world had to say. I'm in love with Simon, I don't care if the whole world has to know. I'll scream out that I'm in love with him, if that's what it takes for me to be in his arms. I'm in love with a boy, and if the world can't handle it.

Fuck them.
