"It hurts so much," George said, eyes starting to water.

"I'm sorry," Dream started, "I didn't know it effected you,"

"I didn't want you to know,"

The stars glowed in the black sky. The street lights gave a yellow haze to their faces.

"I just, I don't know what to do," Dream said quietly, almost as if he was ashamed.

"You don't let me go out and have fun with people. You act all protective whenever Chase is around," George stated.

"I don't want you to get hurt," Dream spoke kindly.

"Yet I am. I have been. You haven't even noticed. I'm not a child Dream, I can make decisions for myself,"George spoke, a hint of anger in his voice.

Neither of them spoke for awhile. The laid in silence, not even looking at the other.

"I don't need to be your boyfriend. I don't need to be something you flaunt everywhere you go. I just want something, anything." The brunette spoke, honesty in his tone.

As much as George wanted to be Dream's only, he knew that was too much to ask for.

"I don't want to change your lifestyle. You can still have your freedom to do whatever you want. I just want to feel something, even if it's in private," George elaborated on his last thought, hoping for some response from Dream.

"I can't be the person you need me to be," The blonde spoke. "I don't want to hurt you anymore,"

"Please Dream, just give me something," the brunette begged, he turned on his side to look at Dream, "we don't have to be anything, I just want you to hold me, kiss me, fuck, you can do anything. It doesn't have to have emotion behind it, just treat me like another hook up then go back to being my best friend," George was desperate at this point.

Dream took a deep breath, "only in private. This," he said gesturing between the two of them with his hand, "is only for us to know about. We both have our own lives outside of it. I can still do whatever I want, and you can do whatever you want. I won't step in anymore- unless I feel like I need to,"

"Okay-" The brunette started again before being cut off,

"And, you have to let me help you," Dream said.

"Help me?" George questioned, confused.

"Yes, help you-" Dream pushed himself up and grabbed something from beside him, a backpack. George didn't even see him bring that up with him.

The blonde unzipped it and reached inside. He pulled out a small bag of cut up fruit and a granola bar.

"I may be stupid- but I'm not obvious. I know you've been struggling, I just didn't want to bring it up and make you uncomfortable. I know you probably haven't eaten since Friday,"

He was right

"I'm not trying to force this on you, we can do it together, but I need you to eat. If you this to happen, then you have to let me help you," the blonde finished, looking directly into George's dark brown eyes.

George took a moment to think. He had wanted to get better for such a long time, but just never had a reason. Maybe this could be his reason.

He reached over and hesitantly took the ziplock bag and granola bar. With shaky hands he peeled back the wrapping and opened the baggy.

He was so hungry.

He took a small bite of the granola bar and popped a piece of cut up strawberry in his mouth. He chewed it up, swallowed it, and begged his stomach to keep it down.
