She bright sun beamed in through the open window. George turned around to be faced with Dream sleeping peacefully.
The mornings are when the shame finally sets in.
The brunette groggily pushed himself out of the bed and made his way to the bathroom, his head was pounding.
He turned on the water and let the steam fog up the bathroom, he intentionally did not want to see the mirrors. He stepped into the warm water and let it wash away the sweat from last night.
George always thought the most in the shower. He let his mind wander, and that was never a good thing. He could never wrap his mind around why he wasn't good enough for Dream. Well no, that was a lie. He could name over a hundred things wrong with him. It's more like he wished he didn't know why.

The Brit made his way back to his bedroom after what he claimed to be enough self pity. He was met with the sight of Dream just starting to wake up. The sun shinning down on him made he seem god-like.
When he muttered words of mornin' George in his deeper than normal voice, the brunette knew he couldn't take it this early in the morning. He told Dream he was going to grab breakfast and disappeared out the door.
George was met with the faint smell of bacon downstairs. He found his mom in the kitchen cooking breakfast, just like she did every morning.
"Hey honey, us and Dream's family are going to dinner tonight if you want to come! I think we're celebrating his first win this season," the kind eyed woman said with a bright smile.
Dream's family was very close to George's. Also they were different appearance wise, they were also quite alike. Each boy was an only child. Both of their moms worked from home. Both of their dads worked as pharmacists in the same company. Both family's were decently wealthy.
George agreed happily and grabbed the two servings his mom had set out, she figured Dream slept over like normal, and headed back up the stairs towards his room.
When George opened the door, Dream was sitting up in bed on his phone. The shorter boy handed the other a plate and plopped down next to him. He said thankyou and continued to type on his phone before shutting it off and eating.
"My mom told me about the dinner tonight, where are we going?" George asked before stuffing his mouth with cut up strawberries.
"That new fancy place in town, I think it's called like Ram's Run or something."

After they finished eating Dream took a shower and changed. They spent the rest of the afternoon playing Minecraft before Dream headed home to get ready for dinner.
George threw himself down on his bed and audibly sighed. He wished he didn't feel like this. But just his luck, falling in love with his best friend.
As much as George loved Dream and his family, he did not want to go to this dinner. Eating alone has been hard enough, but with other people adds a whole new challenge.
George had started to get more self conscious over the past two years. His popularity in school started to cause him to compare himself to others quite frequently. Specifically, every single girl he saw Dream hooking up with. He just wanted to be enough for the boy, even if that wouldn't be possible.
It's not that George didn't have people flirting with him all the time, he definitely did. However, none of them would ever compare to his best friend. In the beginning he tried to distract himself with mindless hookups and flings, but every time he just found himself thinking about Dream.
