April passed by quickly. Most of the month was spent studying for their end of year exams. The heat had started to pick up and the sun was shining bright almost everyday.

May brought a new wave of emotions. The boys had taken their exams and passed them all. It was crazy to think they would all be off to different states pretty soon. They attempted to savor their last month together as best they could.

-

"We have to pick up our cap and gowns during lunch today," George reminded the group as they all walked up to the big doors that lead to the school.

"I'm so excited, but is so bitter sweet. I don't want to leave you guys," Karl replied.

-

When the bell rang for lunch, George rushed out of his class to find his friends. They all met up outside of the library, thankful to see they beat most of the line that was starting to form.

Despite the fact that the library was supposed to be a quiet space, it was loud of excitement as all of the seniors gathered together.

Sapnap went first, telling the nice lady his name and receiving his cap and gown. Karl then did the same thing, followed by Big Q and Dream. However when George told the lady his name, she gave him a confused look.

"You've already gotten yours," she stated, looking through the list of names.

"Uh- no I haven't?" He questioned, obviously confused.

"Yes you have, your name is crossed off the list and-" she paused opening one of the many boxes, flipping through the packages, "your cap and gown is not here. It says you came in the morning," she said, now seeming a bit agitated.

"But I- I didn't-" the Brit tried to spit out.

"There's nothing we can do for you, next!" The now not so nice lady said, completely dismissing him.

A wave of panic coursed through his body. He could not walk the stage if he didn't have it. He walked over to where his friends had retreated to with empty hands.

No one seemed to noticed until Dream glanced in his direction. The blonde gave his boyfriend a confused look.

"They- they said I already picked it up this morning, but I didn't," George said meekly.

"Wait what?" Karl questioned.

"I don't know, but what I do know is now I don't have my cap and gown."

-

George pushed through the week, still having no clue who had his cap and gown. As the days passed, his anxiety rose.

It was officially one week until graduation, and the boy had no idea what to do. He had talked to numerous teachers and staff, none of them had any solutions for him.

It was now Friday. Dream and George had just gotten back from a movie date and were snuggled up in the Brit's bed after making cookies. George's parents were out for the night, so it was just the two of them.

The brunette had his had placed on Dream's shoulder as they munched on the cookies they had made. They were sitting in silence, small giggles filling the air every once and awhile. Suddenly, the door bell rang.

The two gave each other confused looks.

"Are you expecting anyone?" Dream asked his boyfriend.

"No, are you?" The Brit replied.

Dream shook his head. They both stood up and slowly made their way downstairs. It was dark outside so they couldn't see through the windows by the door. Dream moved George behind him as he he slowly reached for the door handle.
