Savannah's POV

I watch as Morgan says his goodbyes to the crowd, nerves flowing through every inch of my body at the thoughts of the encounter we were about to have.

Our first encounter in over 4 years now.

"Hey there" Morgan says as he approaches me.

"Hey" I respond, looking down at my feet nervously.

Awkward silence engulfs the two of us, neither one of us knowing what to say. The silence is finally broken by the buzz coming from my phone.

Laken – Where are you? I can't find you anywhere.

Sav – I will meet you at the car. Don't leave without me, I will only be a few minutes. Promise..

Putting my phone back in my pocket, I look up to see Morgan staring at me, a small smile on his face.

"Follow me" he says.

I give him a nod and follow him down the hallway that Hardy brought me up. Morgan leads me into a room, what I can only guess is his dressing room. As I step into the room, Morgan quietly closes the door behind us.

"Gotta say, I wasn't expecting to see you here tonight. I hoped for it, but I wasn't expecting it" he tells me.

Morgan takes a sip from a water bottle, before sitting down on the leather couch positioned on the wall.

I keep my place standing near the door, rocking back and forth on my feet slightly to calm my racing heart.

"Yeah, I wasn't expecting too actually be here. My best friend is a huge fan of yours, practically worships the ground you walk on. She begged me to tag along to the show tonight with her. She doesn't know anything about our past, so I had no choice but to actually tag along with her" I explain.

Morgan gives me a nod, focusing on the water bottle in his hands.

"I shouldn't have agreed to come with her, and I'm sorry if I threw you off or anything tonight, I didn't realize how close she had gotten her tickets. If I would have realized that I wouldn't have come" I tell him, focusing my attention on the tip of my shoe.

"Don't say that" he states, before getting up from his spot and walking my way.

"I'm happy you're here. To be honest, you've been on my mind a lot recently, hell you haven't left my mind since the day I pulled out of that driveway" he adds.

I look up to see Morgan standing directly in front of me, a small smile on his face.

"You know, I was looking for that shirt for months after I left." he states, nothing the old, faded t-shirt I'm wearing.

I let out a chuckle, remembering the fact that I had went back over to his parents house after he left hoping to find this one shirt. Thankfully, it was hidden under his blanket, and out of his sight when he left.

"Had to get one last laugh in" I say smiling at him.

"I should go, Laken is waiting down in the car for me. We have to get back home" I add, looking over at the door.

I go to walk towards the door, when I feel a hand wrap around my wrist, stopping me in my steps. Turning around, I see Morgan looking at me, sadness written all over his face.

"Don't walk out that door, don't leave me when I'm just seeing you for the first time again" Morgan says, quietly.

"Laken is waiting on me, I can't leave her sitting out in the parking lot alone for so long. Hell, knowing her she might try to find her way back in here if I leave her out there for so long" I tell him.

"Please Savvy, let's talk, I need to talk. I can't leave everything I have to say floating in the air unsaid" he pleads.

Morgan pulls me to him, wrapping his arms tightly around my waist. Letting out a sigh, I lay my head on his chest, taking in that feeling of comfort that I relied on for so long.

"I can't stay here any longer Morgan. If you want to talk, I'm sure you have my number still written down somewhere, it hasn't changed. I really need to get back to her" I tell him.

Morgan sighs, resting his head on top of mine. The two of us standing in each other's arms silently. He squeezes me tightly, before kissing the top of my head softly.

I move out of his arms, making my way over to the door.

"Be looking out for that call" Morgan states.

I let out a chuckle, before making my way out the door, starting the trek down the hallway.

"Wait" I hear.

I turn around to see Morgan walking towards me.

"Let Paul walk you to your car, just so I can know you made it there safely" he adds.

"I will be fine" I tell him.

Morgan sighs, before looking at the man walking up the hallway.

"For me?" he asks.

I give him a nod, looking between him and the tall man next to him.

"Ready to go?" Paul asks.

"Lead the way" I answer, giving one last smile to Morgan.

We make our way through the venue and to the parking garages making idle small talk between the two of us.

"Where are you parked?" he asks.

"Red level" I tell him.

Paul gives me a nod, before walking over in that direction. Once we enter the garage, I look over seeing Laken's Jeep sitting alone on the level.

Shit.

"This is it" I tell him, pointing over to the black Jeep.

He gives me a nod, stopping near the car.

"You ladies be safe getting home" he tells me, giving me a nod.

"Thank you" I tell him as we are standing in front of the jeep.

"No problem, take care. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of each other" he states with a chuckle,  before walking away.

As I get in the car, I look over to see Laken staring at me with stern look.

Shit, she's pissed.

"There you are, I swear I was getting close to sending out a search party for you" Laken exclaims, seeing me get into the passenger seat.

"Sorry, I know. I ran into an old friend, lost track of time" I tell her.

She gives me a look, before nodding and pulling out of the garage.

The drive home felt longer than normal as my mind swirled with the events that took place tonight. My phone buzzing in my hand takes me out of my head.

Unknown – Look at that, still have your number memorized.

I look down at the message, smiling at the number that popped up, recognizing it as Morgan's same number from high school.

"What's got you smiling over there?" Laken asks, looking over at me.

"Oh, Ellie was just telling me a funny thing that happened to her today" I tell her, brushing her questions off.

To MC – I see that, I'm surprised.

MC – Don't be too surprised honey, I still remember lots of things about you.

The two of us continue the drive home in silence. Laken, she's still coming down from her concert high, one that's going to take a while to finally come down.

Me on the other hand, I'm thinking about what all of this possibly means. Seeing Morgan again, us contacting each other again. What does it all mean?
