+ Graduation Day +
Savannah's POV
"Time to go Lake!" I yelled as I walk into the living room.
"I'm ready" Laken responds, running out of her room.
Grabbing our caps and gowns, along with all the stoles and tassels, we head out the door and towards the garage.
"Are you ready for this?" Laken questions, as the two of us get into my car.
"Not at all" I respond, honestly.
I didn't lie at all when I said that.
As soon as we walk across that stage, we leave the world of schooling, and scheduling, to enter the world of unknown things. That alone is scary.
Once we get to the stadium, I park in the lot nearby that all of the students graduating were instructed to park in. Grabbing our stuff, the two of us make our way into the stadium, and over into the area where we see everyone else is waiting.
Checking in, we turn around looking for a familiar face, when one of the girls in another sorority comes over to talk to us.
Spending a little time talking with different people, we finally get the call that it is time to start lining up an hour later.
After getting in our lines, we all make our way inside and down to the seats that are placed in rows on the field.
What felt like forever listening to different people speak, they finally started announcing names. Since we are such a big university, we didn't walk across the stage, they just called names and we stood from where we were sitting.
After throwing our caps, the crowd dispersed while everyone was in search of their families and loved ones.
Finally, after what felt like hours of searching, a body slams into mine causing me to fall to the ground. Looking at the body, I see red hair lying on top of me.
"We did it!" Laken exclaims.
Helping me up from the ground, the two of us link arms in search of our family, hoping that they are somewhere together.
Finally, we spot two familiar faces in the crowd, both of our dads.
"Dad!" I exclaim, attempting to catch his attention.
He looks over at me, a smile on his face before extending his arms to me. As soon as I reach him, he wraps his arms around me tightly.
"I'm so, so proud of you bug" he tells me, placing a kiss on my forehead.
"My turn sissy" I hear my sister say from behind me.
My dad is quick to release me before Ellie runs into my arms.
After a few more hugs from Laken's family, I hear a familiar voice breaking through the crowd of people.
"Did we miss pictures?" I hear.
Turning around, I see the entire Wallen clan standing behind me, down to Morgan's sisters, each one of them have smiles on their faces.
"I didn't think you guys were going to make it" I say.
Morgan smiles, before wrapping his arms around me, and placing a kiss to the top of my forehead.
"I wouldn't miss this for the world" Morgan responds.
"I think what my son meant to say was that we wouldn't miss this" Lesli tells me, nudging her son over with her elbow so that she can reach me as well.
After taking pictures with everyone, we all make our way over to the parking lot where some of the families cars are parked at.
