Savannah's POV
- 1 Year Later -
"Here's to the soon to be Mrs. Wallen" Laken exclaims as everyone in the room clinks our glasses together.
I look around the room, seeing all of my favorite people surrounding me.
My sister, Laken, Caroline, Brittany, Ashlyn, and Mikayla. Morgan's mom as Lilah somewhere else after telling me that I needed to relax, and that she had her granddaughter taken care of.
"How are you feeling about this?" Caroline asks, sitting down next to me.
"I've been waiting for this moment since I was 16" I tell her, a smile coming to my face.
After spending the night being pampered, we arrived at the venue on the outskirts of Nashville, immediately being taken into a suite to start the getting ready process.
You wouldn't think getting ready takes as long as it does, but when I say it was a few hours, it was at least 3.
When we were all dressed and ready, we all stood around the room, waiting for the que.
Finally, the door to the suite opens, my wedding planner Marie steps into the room, an excited smile on her face.
When we started the process of wedding planning, I knew I couldn't handle it alone, so we hired Marie. Marie was an absolute godsent throughout the entire process, handling all of the details while I just told her what I was feeling in that time. If anything was wrong out there, I had no idea, because she refused to tell me anything, telling me that she had it all covered, and she did.
"You look amazing Savannah, it's time to get lined up" she tells me.
Morgan's POV
"Are you ready for this?" Savannah's dad asks, as he walks over to where I am standing.
"Honestly, this is one of the few things in my life that I am sure of" I tell him.
He wraps an arm around my shoulder, pulling me towards him.
"Welcome to the family son, officially at least. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go make sure your future wife isn't causing any trouble" he tells me, before walking back the way he came from.
As soon as he's out of sight, Hardy walks up to me, a smile on his face.
"Where's Lilah?" I ask.
"Your mom stole her from Sassy this morning" he responds, letting out a chuckle.
"Do you know how Savannah is doing?" I question.
"Laken said she's fine, just wanting to see you, wanting to see Lilah. Laken said she looks amazing" he tells me.
As soon as we end up at the end of the aisle, I bounce in my spot with nerves.
Soon enough, the doors open up. Brittany walks down with Jason, Caroline with Luke, Mikayla walks down with Ernest, Ashlyn with Cole, the bridal party ending with Laken and Hardy. The doors open a second time, and we see Delilah holding hands with Memphis, Navy walking on the other side of them, with Bo and Tate behind them.
Delilah and Navy start walking down the aisle, smiles on their faces as they throw their flowers.
Once Delilah spots me, she takes off full sprint towards me, a smile on her face the entire time. Scooping her up, I give her a quick kiss on the cheek, before passing her to my mom sitting in the front row.
As the music changes, everyone is told to stand. I look out into the crowd, seeing everyone looking at the door in anticipation, tears streaming down my moms face.
In what feels like slow motion, the doors finally open, and I finally lay my eyes on Savannah. I look in her eyes, without even realizing it, I have tears rolling down my face just as she does.
(Savannah's Dress)
Savannah's dad walked her down the aisle, whispering soothing words to his daughter. When they reach me, her dad kisses her cheek, before passing her hand over to me.
As I hear the preacher talk, all my focus is on the woman in front of me. I can't seem to take my eyes off of her. Feeling Hardy nudge my leg, I look back at him as he gives me a smirk.
"Vows brother" Hardy tells me.
I turn around looking at Savannah, a small smile on her face.
"When we first met, I knew that you were special. From that first meeting, you became my world instantly. When we met again, I knew I had to do whatever it took to get you back in my life. Finally, my missing piece was back. You are my best friend, the light of my life, and the best mother in the world. I promise no matter what, I will do whatever I can to make you and Delilah happy. Most importantly, I promise to make sure you have your candy when it gets low. Sav, you are my entire heart, the love of my life. Where you go, I go" I tell her, watching the tears roll down her face.
"I don't know how I'll be able to top that one" Savannah responds, letting out a chuckle.
"When I was 16, I was dragged to a baseball game on a random Thursday night. That game changed my life forever. From that day forward, you became an extension of me. After you came back into my life a few years ago, you healed the part of me that I didn't realize was broken for so long. I love seeing you as a dad to our daughter, all while living out your dreams of singing. I promise you to follow you no matter where you go, and to make sure you have your chocolate when you get grumpy. I loved you at 16, and I love you even more now" she responds.
When the metal band gets put on my hand, a sense of pride washes over me. Pride that I finally got my ending that I dreamed of pride to finally call my best friend my wife.
"You may now kiss your bride" the preacher states.
That's all I needed to hear.
Pulling Savannah towards me, I place one hand on her waist, the other on the back of her head, before I dip her softly. Placing my lips on hers, I pour all of the love into the kiss.
"For the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Wallen" The preacher exclaims, causing the room to break out in cheers.
I look over at Savannah, a wide smile on her face.
"Here's to a forever of Chasin' You" I tellher.
