I can't lie to Red. It will only make things worse. It's better if he knows now.
"Uhm, please don't get mad and take it the wrong way." My heart is pounding.
He sighed.
I don't know if he already knows, but he needs to hear it from me.
"Nick... He asked me if he could take me to the ball..." I bowed my head from embarassment.
"You said no, right?" His eyes glisten.
"I'm sorry. He asked Nicole for permission. And I didn't know what to say. I was caught off guard."
He sighed again. I'm preparing myself for the worse.
"You should've said no."
"I'm so sorry."
"Stop. There's nothing I can do about it anyway."
I took his hand and placed it on my cheek. It's warm.
"You know that I love you, right?" I opened my eyes to look at his.
"Ofcourse."
He pressed his lips unto mine. My insides melted. He bites my lower lip that made me whimper. He started kissing me slowly then picking up pace. He pushed me to the bed.
"Red."
"You don't know how much I missed kissing you."
I can't help but smile. All my doubts weren't true. He loves me and I know it.
He grabbed my shirt and took it off.
"Red, what are you doing?!"
I tried stopping him from doing more, but the more I resist the more he applied force.
"Red... What.."
He began kissing my neck then my jawline. I feel so weak that I couldn't fight back.
The doorbell rang and he stopped. I don't know if I should be happy or not.
"Fuck. I forgot they're coming home early." He sat on the bed to put on his shoes.
"We could always find time." I gave him a peck on the cheek.
"It's like there is an interreption everytime. It's staring to get me." He walked towards the door.
I put on my shirt and followed him. We reached the main door and the doorbell rang again.
"Fuck. I'm coming!" He shouted. I nudged his arm.
"Sorry." He whispered.
He opened the door and Mr. Haynes is standing wearing a white polo and black sleeves.
"Uncle Joey!" He gave him a hug that almost made him trip.
"Ugh. Is your dad home? I brought wine."
Red lets go of his hug.
"Not yet. He might've picked up some groceries."
Mr. Haynes glanced over at me.
"Nice to see you again, sir."
"Sir? We're not in school anymore. You can call me Joey." He grinned.
"I'll take this baby right here." He grabbed the wine bottle from Joey's hand.
He went in leaving Joey and I.
"That kid is really something."
"Tell me about it." Red is the type of guy who is full of surprises. I can't even decode his emotions most of the time.
