"Yo.." I greeted Janeane.

She looked like she had been crying.

"Are–"

"JIMMY WHAT THE FUCK AM I GOING TO DO 'BOUT THIS BABY?!" She yelled.

"CALM DOWN!" I yelled back. "Jesus.."

She slowly slumped down back on the bench and scrambled in her purse.

She pulled out a piece of plastic and handed it to me.

I looked at her before taking it.

I looked down at my palm and saw a cross on the little screen.

My breathing hitched as I slowly handed it back to her.

"You gon' help me raise this fuckin' baby?!" She yelled.

"I don't... know," I trailed. "I don't know what the fuck you want me to do, Janeane." My tone changed now.

"I got someone else in my life now," I said. "I don't have time for this shit.."

"You're a fucking coward!" She yelled.

After a couple seconds of silence she spoke.

"At least.. come visit after they're here." She spoke quietly now.

"Sure." I would at least give her that.

"Can I go now." I asked with no emotion in my voice.

"Are you serious," She whispered. "You met some other bitch and now you just gon' push me away like I'm nothing?!"

"Janeane you need to get it through your fuckin' head that WE ain't together no more!" I yelled and pointing between her and I.

She started crying more.

I looked at her and shook my head and walked away.

"Shit, I gotta go pick up Lily." I mumbled to myself as I started the car.

I made my way to 8 Mile and the door was unlocked, shocker.

"Lily!" I called out for her.

She came out of her room wrapped up in a blanket and rubbing her eyes.

"Hey baby.." I cooed. She sent me a sleepy smiled and came to me.

I bent down and picked her up in my arms.

"You woke me up.. again." She mumbled.

"I'm sorry, you ready to go see Del?" I asked her and her eyes lit up.

She wiggled out of my arms, fell onto the ground and ran to her room. She came back with a small bag with toys, coloring books, and some clothes.

She grabbed my hand and we walked outside to my car.

I was buckling her in when I heard the trailer park door open.
