"You like socks now don't you ?" "It makes me feel warm" Sunoo said in a hoarse voice. Ni-Ki pulled the boy's arms to help him stand up. "Now, let's try walking. Sunghoon is probably getting you dinner right now so let's do something as time passes-" A loud thunder cut Ni-Ki's words but also made Sunoo fall and covered his ears.
The sudden thunder was loud and shocked Sunoo, making him think the house was going to fall apart. Ni-Ki quickly crouched down and helped Sunoo stand up again. "Don't worry, it's just thunder. Nothing's going to happen." The male mumbled. "Now, come. I'll help you." Ni-Ki was holding the boy's arms as he walked backwards, Sunoo slowly taking steps. Even standing was already hard enough.
A few minutes passed and Sunghoon came back with a plate of food to see Sunoo slowly walking towards Ni-Ki. He leaned against the door frame to see this cute sight. It was like taking care of a baby. They were glad they took Sunoo away from that factory. Even though their leader asked them to kill the boy, they kept him instead.
He was one of the youngest there. In Sunghoon's eyes, Sunoo was really precious and he was quite possessive with the things he loves. Ni-Ki felt guilty for already ruining the boy's life, the least they could do was give him a normal life, but that was not possible. Sunghoon did not, obviously. He was just possessive. The moment he read Sunoo's files, he knew this boy shouldn't have even been alive.
He was supposed to be dead. Yet, he's still here. Sunoo's pas really upsetted Sunghoon. Oh, how much he really wanted to kill his family. Sunoo finally arrived in Ni-Ki's arms and the two looked over at the door to see Sunghoon smiling while holding the plate of food. "You guys took your time there, let's eat." His smile faded almost immediately as he was the main attention.
Ni-Ki then whispered in Sunoo's ears. "He rarely smiles. You should remember how he smiles because he doesn't really show off his charms." Sunghoon placed the plate down to the table and sighed while glaring at Ni-Ki. Sunoo just nodded while looking at Sunghoon, trying not to laugh for some reason.
"Okay, I get that the age gap between me and you two are quite far, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN TALK BEHIND MY BACK AS IF I DID SOMETHING WRONG !" Sunghoon exploded as Sunoo already let out small giggles, following Ni-Ki's big laughter. The way Sunghoon is mad this time was actually funny and did not feel threatening. Sunoo was rolling on the floor, trying to hide his laughter as Sunghoon sighed in defeat, laughing slightly as well.
"Even Sunoo is laughing ! Hyung, just admit that you're old-" "HEY ! I'm only 23 okay, you stfu right now." It was the fact that Sunghoon was so much older than them and only realising it now. Sunoo stood up and sat on the chair as Sunghoon pulled him closer. "Now, eat then unpack the rest of your stuff in that backpack." Sunghoon said, pointing at the bag in the corner.
The two watched the boy 'try' to eat. In the end Sunghoon helped Sunoo tackle the chicken. Today's meal was slightly different. It was a small bowl of soup and stale bread. But Sunoo felt like it was very different since he had been eating the same thing for 1 year. "It's cold down here so you'll get some protein and warm soup. What do you say ?"
"T-thank you..." Sunoo said, chewing on the bread. "Ah we should have fed you even more, you look like a dog bone right now." Sunoo couldn't hear Ni-Ki's words. He was too focused into eating. They took the plate and left the room, letting Sunoo do his thing. It was getting quite late after all.
Sunoo walked around the room and checked the bathroom one more time. He found what seems to be a light switch. The boy went over to the bed that had his sensor light on the wall and turned it on before going back to switch off the button. It closed the main light. It was quite dark so he quickly turned it back down, panicked.
He looked around the table area and it actually had a small drawer. He opened it to see a book inside. Sunoo slowly and carefully took the book out to see that it was one of the books at the book cafe. Sunoo looked back at the main door. He wondered when they took it. It was the series Sunoo really wanted to read after he finished work one day.
But, how did they know ? He looked in the drawer to see the whole series was there. The boy placed it back and closed the drawer. He might read them later. Sunoo looked inside the cabinet to see a few of his clothes already there. He went to his bag and placed the rest of his clothes in there. Sunoo exclaimed as he found a hoodie.
He really wanted another one as his previous one was soaked in the rain. The boy quickly wore it, closed the lights and ran to his bed. Sunoo figured he can do some searching around later, but now he wanted to sleep comfortably.
.
"I'm glad nothing stopped us." "You were driving like a crazy person, you know. Sunoo looked traumatized because he kept bumping into the door and driving at that speed obviously made him think we were going to kill ourselves there and then." Ni-Ki added as he glared at the older. It was true though. They were never going to risk driving like that ever again.
"But I think clearing out the basement was nice, to be honest. I don't have to go to the gym to work out this week." Sunghoon said, leaning back onto the couch. "Same, I'm broken. It's all because of fixing the water tank." "Just think, it's for Sunoo." "Hm, true. I don't know why but I really want to see him cry again."
Sunghoon sighed as he smiled. "Ah, seriously. Sunoo must have already known he has a sadist and possessive people kidnapping him." The two laughed as Ni-Ki showed Sunghoon his phone screen. "Oh ? His missing case is still open ? It has been over a year already. How long do they have to do this ? I'm guessing it's because of his friend."
"From what I see here, it's stated that they think they might have found him but this is definitely not where Sunoo is." Ni-Ki laughed, closing his phone. "Well, some police departments are quite dumb." "Oi, take that back. All they know is that there were two people and a van." Sunghoo looked at him, amused. "There are so many people with vans. Why are we being targetted now ?"
Ni-Ki nodded along, agreeing. "Anyways, I'm going to go play my games and sleep." Ni-Ki stood up and went up to his room. Sunghoon took out some files and started his work.
