Chapter 53 The Yin and Yang

As a hyena leaped to attack and Kion put Y/N down and used his body as a shield to protect Y/N but he heard a slap. Kion peeked over his shoulder and he saw Y/N's mother growl at the hyenas, "KION GET OUT OF HERE!" She roared as she lunged and landed on a hyena. Y/N opened her eyes and she saw her mother attacking, "I CAN'T LOSE YOU AGAIN!" She called and Kion helped her up. A Hyena got slapped by Y/N's mom's claw and she smiled looking at her daughter and Kion. "Y/N, were always with you and that will never change. Sadly, our journey in the circle of life came to an end but you both still have a bright future." Kion nuzzled Y/N as she had tears running down her face and her mother ran over and nuzzled her one last time whispering something in her ear Kion couldn't hear.

"Don't cry dear. Now get out of here with your prince," She backed away smirking and Y/N wiped her eyes with her paws as her mother jumped up into the crowd of Hyenas. Y/N turned and ran to Kion and Kion nuzzled her and she nuzzled back. 

"Ready Y/N?" Kion asked,

"Yea....let's go," She replied as they both ran for the exit to head outside. When they were out of sight Y/N's mom smiled looking back, "Just you wait Scar your efforts are about to be put to an end." The hyenas howled as more appeared and they surrounded her quickly but she stood strong ready to fight to the bitter end.

Y/N's father was pushed near the edge and he looked back seeing a ravine and Zira cornered him and her claw was out. "Well....well...well...looks like it's the end of the roar for you again-"

"ZIRA!!!" A voice shouted loudly, before Zira could react Kopa headbutt her as hard as he could and she rolled towards the Ravine edge but she plunged her claws into the ground to stop herself from rolling off the ground. Y/N's father raised his head and his eyes widened seeing Kopa have the guardian symbol. 

"You're the guardian of the Spirit World?" He questioned,

"Well I am now," Kopa answer and when he said that he heard cynical laughter and he saw Zira stand and he flinched for a second. "Hello little Prince it's been a long time," Zira licked her teeth as she looked at Kopa and he backed up. "Guardian of the Spirit World?! What a joke why would that foolish bird pick you!" Zira lunged for Kopa and Y/N's father dashed to try and get there but Zira was fast.

"KOPA GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!" Y/N's Father roared,

Kopa stood there frozen as memories returned to him and Zira sent chills down his spine as she was closing in ready with a kill strike. Kopa closed his eyes and flinched but he inhaled and exhaled and he raised his paw catching Zira's paw. Both Zira and Y/N's father were surprised seeing that and Kopa glared at Zira with a little doubt, "You're trying the same move you used on that day. I won't fall for it a second time." He headbutt Zira again as he backed up staring at her and when she landed she laughed looking at Kopa. "Your just full of surprises but you think you can defeat me!" She roared but she was cut off as Y/N's father rolled tackling Zira again. "THAT'S WHAT YOU DON'T GET ZIRA!!! I KNOW I CAN'T DEFEAT YOU ALONE!!" Kopa shouted as he charged and Y/N's father held Zira tight so Kopa could headbutt her. When Kopa made contact Y/N's father let go and Zira flew into a rock and she groaned jumping up and she coughed.

"DAD!!!!" Y/N shouted, Kopa looked and he smiled seeing Kion and Y/N run out but Y/N limped as Kion helped her. Y/N ran to her father and he grabbed her and nuzzled her tightly and she smiled nuzzling her father again. Zira hissed seeing they were having a moment, "CAN'T YOU SEE WERE HAVING A BATTLE HERE!!" She roared and Y/N flinched but Kion and Kopa hopped in the way. Zira snickered, "Two cubs against me?! CHILD'S PLAY!!!" She lunged for them and both Kopa and Kion leaped out of the way as she hit the ground and they but kicked their legs into Zira's legs and she roared in pain as she backed into a rock. Before Zira could get up the ground shook as Kion's, Y/N's, and Kopa's marks glowed and it blinded Zira and she backed up thinking they did that on purpose but her back legs reached the cliff edge and she fell back. "NOOOOOOO!!!" She screamed as she plunged her claws on the edge as half of her body was off the edge.

Everyone rubbed their eyes from the sudden flash of light and Zira was slipping and before anyone could do anything Zira lost grip and she roared as she was falling. Kion ran to Y/N to be with her as Kopa rubbed his head turning around. Y/N went to Kion as they nuzzled and she exhaled feeling Kion's nuzzles again. Y/N's father cleared his throat and both Kion and Y/N looked at him. Kion went to him quickly and bowed, "Your Y/N's father, I'm-"

"I'm not a king Kion you don't need to bow to me." He rubbed his paw on Kion's head as Y/N smirked. He looked around, "Where's your mother Y/N?"

"She's fighting the Hyenas inside!" Y/N answered quickly, Y/N father nuzzled his daughter one last time. "I must help her....but you two should get out of here and put an end to Scar's reign!" Y/N sniffled as she nuzzled her father one last time. After they did that he looked at Kion, "Take care young one. I knew you were a good one for her despite making her cry in the ravine." Kion paused feeling bad as he laughed, "I'm only joking now get out of here!" He turned and ran quickly back into the cave. Kopa looked at Kion and Y/N, "Let's get out of here! I have to get you two to Askari's Domain!" Kopa bolted and Kion picked up Y/N.

"Kion!" She gasped surprised,

"It's okay Y/N I got you!" Kion smiled as he ran and she held onto Kion tight as they ran for Askari's domain. 

"Rude your not gonna introduce me to your girlfriend. I feel insulted," Kopa rolled his eyes being dramatic.

"Ah sorry! Y/N this is my older brother Kopa the one that...." He paused,

"Oh....I'm sorry..." Y/N commented,

"Don't be.....not your fault anyway plus all the matters now is getting you two out of here and back to the physical world."

"Is no one gonna question what that flash was?" Y/N asked,

"It happened before when we were coming. I'm not sure what it is," Kopa explained. Y/N paused, "Wait.....if I get out of here will I return to my body?" Kopa didn't respond and Kion was anxious, "Kopa...."

"I-I don't know...." Kopa answered truthfully, 

Y/N looked down and Kion didn't know what to say and Kopa sighed to himself, "I might have an idea on how you can find out. Scar possessed Y/N using the Shrine so maybe it can free scar's control too." Kion looked up at Y/N as Kopa was trying to be optimistic about the situation and Y/N was lost in her thoughts.

Y/N P.O.V

What if I can't get my body back? What if Scar just controls my body and kills all my friends....no....I.....everyone is fighting so hard to get me back and I'm here being pathetic and weak. I can't even hold it together anymore.....Kopa doesn't know, Kion doesn't know, and I don't know....what are we going to do. Maybe Zira was right......maybe Scar was right...maybe...

"Y/N?" Kion questioned,

Y/N snapped out of it seeing they stopped and both Kion and Kopa looked at her and she blinked. "Sorry what?" She apologized for not listening, Kion let her down softly and he moved closer and pulled her into a hug and she paused. Kion rubbed his paw on her back, "Y/N I love you so much and I want to be there for you so...please...talk to me...." Y/N sniffled and she couldn't hold it anymore. She started to sob as she hugged Kion and she held onto him and Kion closed his eyes nuzzling and hugging Y/N. Kopa's ears lowered watching sadly seeing what she's been through. Kopa paused hearing a sound and when he looked up he saw the black and white beams from the Outlands and Pride Rock started to bend as they both pointed at Askari's domain.

"The black and white.....balance.....symbols glowing...." Kopa mumbled to himself and when he looked at Y/N and Kion hugging it hit him. "Wait Kion you never told me why Y/N is on the Lion Guard....what does she represent?" As Y/N continued to nuzzle into Kion he looked at Kopa, "The Guardian Angel...." Kopa's ears raised as he backed up taking one final look at both of them and he could see it now.

"That's what Askari meant....you two....are the Yin and Yang!"
