Chapter 39 The 2nd Lesson

Kion opened his eyes and saw they were in the Pride Lands, "To figure out the second lesson you must revisit the past" Janna explained. Kion looked around and his eyes widened seeing the hyena's fighting his mom. Janna looked at Kion, "Do you recall this day Kion?" Janna asked, Kion looked at Janna.

"Yes Janna, I do" Kion replied, Janna and Kion looked up ahead and saw the clouds going dark as young Kion was on the rocks. "STAY AWAY FROM MY MOM!!!!" Young Kion shouted unleashing the roar sending the hyenas far into the outlands. Janna was amazed, "The roar is a amazing power Kion" Janna commented. Kion sighed, "But destructive" Kion replied as they saw the roar bounce off the cliffs going for the young Lion Guard and Nala.

As the young Lion Guard ran part of the ground cracked and Nala fell in but young Kion slid and helped her. Kion looked at Janna, "I almost lost my mom that day because of me" Kion explained. Janna put her paw on Kion, "Kion, the roar is a powerful tool, but the roar itself is not good nor bad, it's the person who uses it" Janna explained.  Kion sighs and Janna grabs Kion, "Come on we have places to go" Janna explained as they vanished again.

Kion and Janna we're in the Lion Guard lair hearing Bunga sing, "Never realized how much singing happens" Kion comments. Janna smirked and they looked at young Kion who was looking at the paintings. "Tell me what you were doing here" Janna suggested, Kion looked at the painting of Scar. "The destruction the roar did made me think about what Scar did with the roar" Kion explained. "Then you thought you would be like him" Janna mentioned, Kion looked at Janna and nodded. "Kion you can't let Scar define who you are, you have to define yourself" Janna explained before they vanished once again.

Kion and Janna just watched Young Kion avoid using the roar twice and told Bunga he never going to use the roar. Before Janna said another word they listened to everything Mufasa told young Kion. Janna looked at Kion, "Mufasa is correct, Scar cared for no one and used the roar for evil, but you Kion are very different from Scar" Janna explained. Kion looked at Janna, "The young me already learned about the roar and I used it to stop the crocodiles but why are we here?" Kion asked. Janna smirked, "You tell me" Janna replied as they vanished again.

Kion and Janna watched Young Kion and Nala talking about the roar, "Kion the roar is part of you" Nala stated. Kion looked at Janna hearing that and remembering about having faith and trust in himself. Janna smiled, "Did you figure something out?" Janna asked, Kion looked at Janna. "You reason you brought me here was to see the time I had no faith or trust in myself and the roar like how I had lost faith when I battled Scar, you brought me here not just to learn the second lesson but to remind me that the roar is part of me and I need to trust myself" Kion explained.

Janna smiled more, "And what have you learned?" Janna asked, "I learned...the roar continues to be part of me and I needed to remember that" Kion explained. Before Janna or Kion said another word the ground shook. Kion looked at Janna, "Well done Kion, you are very correct, the roar is part of you, you are one step closer" Janna commented.

Outside the Cave Askari, Powell, and Raider look behind them and see a second beam of light shoot out of the cave pushing the smoke back more. "He did it" Raider cheered, Powell smirked, "One more, maybe the kid really can do it" Powell commented. Askari used the roar again and the hyenas went flying back to where they came from. "That should give us more time" Askasri explained as they all took this time to breathe.

Meanwhile in the real world, Scar's Lion Guard was chasing after the animals as Bailyo and Surak tried to get to Scar. Scar was fighting Y/N inside, Y/N got flung away into the walls. "STAY DOWN LIONESS!!! YOU WILL NEVER BEAT MY CONTROL!!!" Scar shouted, Y/N tears hit the floor as she got up again. Scar looked at her, "WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO FIGHT!!!" Scar shouted. "FOR KION!!! THAT'S WHY!!!" Y/N shouted charging for Scar. Scar smashed his paw across her face sending her into the wall and she was out. Scar rolled his eyes, "Now I have two lions to deal with" Scar told himself about to go back. "SCAR!!!' A Hyena called, Scar looked and saw one of his sprit hyenas. "What?" Scar asked.

"The cave of wisdom has two lights activated" The Hyena explained, "FOOLS YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO STOP KION!!!" Scar shouted. The Hyena jumped back in fear and whimpered, "Sorry...sir.... but Askari, Raider, and Powell are preventing us through" The hyenas explained. Before Scar said another word the hyena was struck down from behind and fell forward. Scar looked at the person who did that. "He was the leader" Scar mentioned, "He was ineffective, let me lead them and destroy the cave for you" The Animal suggested. Scar smiled evilly, "Get past Askari and his group and destroy the cave" Scar ordered. The Animal bowed as the animal left with more hyenas and lions.

"DO NOT FAIL ME ZIRA!!!" Scar shouted, Zira turned looking at Scar, "Anything for you, my love" Zira replied as he army marched for the cave of wisdom. Scar smiled evilly, "Now I have some animals to kill" Scar told Y/N before taking control again. Y/N heard all that and shed a tear on the cold ground knowing she was useless.
