Chapter 54 Shot in the Dark

"The yin and yang?" Kion questioned. Kion looked down at Y/N seeing she was too holding onto him tight as her tears soaked Kion's fur. Kion ears dropped sadly seeing Y/N like this and Kion nuzzled Y/N's head as she cried. Kopa nodded thinking back to what he heard, "Way before Scar took control here I remember seeing Mufasa, Janna, and Askari walking together and Askari asked me to tag along. We were headed for Askari's Domain. He talked about how for the Spirit World to be this way it needs to have balance. The Balance of the Yin and the Yang." Kopa explained as he looked at Kion. Y/N kept nuzzling Kion as it was making her feel a little better but she couldn't stop crying. Y/N tears ran down her face landing on Kion and her legs and paws shook as she could feel herself slipping. "Y/N..." Kion spoke softly, Y/N was shivering but she wanted to talk to Kion but she didn't know where to start.

"I-I-I-I-I-I" Y/N stuttered but before she could form a word Kion moved Y/N's head up with his paw so they made eye contact. Y/N sniffled as she felt Kion's paw wipe some of her tears and she looked at Kion,  "K-K-K"

"Y/N, you don't have to say anything ok. You've been through a lot....things I can't possibly know since I was in the physical world but Y/N we love you. All of us, the Lion Guard misses you and I'll stop at nothing to beat Scar again and return you back to your body. So we can keep having fun, more adventures, more journeys, and I...." Kion paused as he licked Y/N on the cheek. Y/N paused and shed a small smile when she looked at Kion.

"I want to be there for you....I want to be with you....because I love you so much Y/N. I want to be with you for the rest of my life....lead the Lion Guard with you...save many animals...and have the best time of our lives. I want that and Y/N I know it's a shot in the dark but.....what do you think of that?" Y/N looked at Kion the entire time as her eyes filled with tears hearing every word he had to say. Y/N couldn't form any words to express how much she enjoyed Kion saying that so she had her forehead against Kion's and she closed her eyes sniffling. Kion smiled seeing Y/N do that and they nuzzled but within a few seconds he could feel her backing away.

"Y/N?"

"K-Kion...I-I....hurt you....I hurt the Lion Guard....I hurt Ra-"

"That wasn't you Y/N. That was Scar, you had no control over your actions and trust me I fully understand it...like our journey to the Tree of Life....I did things I regret and I couldn't think straight but you all were there for me when my Scar hurt and tried to take over. I didn't feel myself back then but you were there for me. Now I want to be here for you....I won't leave you behind Y/N. You are my guardian angel, you saved me but sometimes even the guardian angel needs help" Kion started to tear up but he smiled looking into Y/N's eyes.

Y/N hugged Kion tight once more and she smiled as she wiped her tears a little, "I-I-I d-don't d-deserve y-you K-Kion..." She stuttered but she felt Kion's paw rub her back and she exhaled in relief. Kion and Y/N hugged and Kion could feel she wasn't shaking as bad, "Don't talk like that Y/N...you deserve me as much as I deserve you...when I'm around you...I..feel....complete..." There was a moment of silence as Y/N hugged Kion tight and Kion nuzzled his head against her showing he was here.

"K-Kopa?" Y/N asked quietly,

"Yea Y/N?" Kopa approached slowly,

"W-W-What w-were y-y-you s-saying b-before?"

"Oh about the Yin and Yang?" Y/N nodded as she nuzzled against Kion and he nuzzled back. "Well, Yin usually represents darkness while Yang would represent light but both come together to create a balance. Mufasa once told me...light cannot exist without the darkness and-"

"Darkness can't exist without light...." Kion interrupted. Kopa and Y/N looked at Kion seeing he was lost in thought.

Kion P.O.V

Grandfather told me that....the lessons were things I already learned but how does that help me use the roar to stop Scar. We can't hurt Scar or we could hurt Y/N's body. But those words....Darkness can't exist without light and light can't exist without darkness....is there another meaning these words have that Grandfather and Askari were trying to tell me?

"Kion?!" Kopa called,

Kion shook his head snapping out of it and when he looked around he saw Kopa and Y/N were looking at him and Kion rubbed the back of his head with his paw.

"Sorry I was lost in thought," 

"It's ok but we should keep going were almost there," Kopa started,

Y/N got up and she rubbed her eyes one more time and she felt a paw on hers and she looked seeing Kion. 

"Ready Y/N?" Kion asked,

"Yea...I think so..." Y/N answered as they continued their journey to Askari's Domain. As they were walking on a high cliff Y/N's mom and Dad watched. 

"They're on their way Apollo,"

"Your right, Eiza"

Eiza sighed and Apollo nuzzled her, "We didn't tell her about the clan....what if they find her..." Apollo looked out seeing Kopa, Kion, and Y/N waling, "There isn't much we can do Eiza but...that boy is special and I have a feeling Y/N's not alone." Eiza and Apollo smiled and they started to fade as they both vanished from the cliff edge.

"RANI WATCH OUT!!!!" Fuli tackled Rani quickly seeing clouds above Scar and when Fuli pushed Rani down Scar roared loudly. Dark Clouds formed as a large sound wave fired from Scar's mouth hurling some of the snow away as the ground started to shake violently. When Scar stopped he smirked and ran past Fuli and Rani heading to the Shrine. Fuli got up quickly, "Rani are you ok?" Rani rubbed her head and nodded looking at Fuli, "Yea thanks for the save Fuli." Both Rani and Fuli ran after Scar and Fuli used her cheetah speed to catch up. Scar grinned seeing the Shrine and he saw Kion's body laying on the ground inside as he was almost at the entrance.

"Finally...after all the-"

"TWENDE KIBOKO!!!" Beshte shouted as he rammed his head into Scar's side hurling him into the snowbank. Fuli and Rani smiled as they slid in and stood with Beshte, "I hope I didn't hurt Y/N too much." Fuli looked at Beshte, "Don't worry Beshte it's only snow," she reassured as they stood ready to battle Scar. Scar grinned evilly and four lions leaped over Fuli, Rani, and Beshte landing near Scar. Within seconds Mama Binturong and her team of predators reached Scar's location standing with him.

"STAND TALL MY PREDATORS!!!" Scar roared, Fuli, Rani, and Beshte looked in front of them seeing Scar's side was here reading to fight their way to Kion. 

"WITH STRENGTH AND RESPECT!!!" A voice shouted, Rani turned around quickly and she smiled happily as she saw Surak and Baliyo leading the Animals of the Tree of Life along with Ono and Bunga. Scar looked in front of him seeing these animals take Rani's side as they both glanced at each other.

"Give it up Scar! It's over!" Fuli called,

"Oh really? I beg to differ!" Scar laughed evilly as he raised his paw up and on the other side Rani raised her paw up as both sides were ready.

"CHARGE!!!!" Both Rani and Scar shouted at the same time and both sides began to charge at each other quickly. Scar was leading the charge and behind him was his Lion Guard while on the other side Rani and Fuli lead the Charge as the Lion Guard and Night Pride were right behind them.

"This will be fun," Makucha licked his teeth charging,

"WE WILL DEFEND OUR HOME!!" Varya roared,

"So many dinner options," Ora hissed,

"THE DRAGON IS MINE!!!" Bunga shouted,

Scar raised his claw up and Rani raised hers as both her and Scar clashed as both sides crashed into each other and multiple battles occurred around the Shrine of Resurection. Shupavu and Xene claimed a tree and their eyes widened seeing chaos on both sides seeing this was gonna be the fight that determines it all...
