Vegeta panted.

Why had he agreed to this?

He knew the control he had over his anxiety was shit.

But he didn't think about it.

He just went because it was goku's birthday party at the bowling alley.

He watched as Trunks got up. Gohan was next. He had also already gotten yelled at and made a fool out of multiple times. Everyone knew of vegeta's anxiety and Everyone kept that in mind.

Until they started drinking that is.

They used it as an advantage.

A cheat.

A hack.

Using vegeta as a "volunteer" embarrassment to impress their friends.

Now it's gohan's turn, and vegeta was next. He didn't want to go do that though. You know what he did want to do? Go Home! Anywhere other than here! Someplace quite and secluded. Where he could be alone, and no one would-

"Vegeta! Vegeta can you hear me? It's your turn!" Gohan shouted over the music and cheers and yells. But vegeta couldn't hear him.

Why did everyone have to stare at him like that? As if they know what he did, all those people he murdered, and were just... disappointed.

Is it possible to have disappointed them more than his father?

Vegeta's eyes started tearing up. He searched around for a sanctuary, a place to hide, where no one, no one would judge him. But all he was met with was laughs, giggles, and judgemental glares from everyone around him, people staring as if trying to Pierce his soul.

He had to get out of here.

He stood up and started to leave, he could make an excuse that he needed the bathroom or something. He walked up to the stairs leading to the main walkway. He saw Goku and bulma talking and tried to squeeze past without being noticed. Unfortunately Goku saw the tears in his eyes about to spring loose.

"Hey what's wrong?" Goku asked. Grabbing vegeta's face to study it. "You ain't looking so good buddy. "

Vegeta was practically sobbing. "There's too many people!" He cried. Goku took a second to remember how bad vegeta's anxieties were and how busy the place was on Sundays.

"Oh no. Oh no no no. Oh I'm so sorry geets, let's go outside. Bulma we're going outside for a little bit!" Goku called to bulma who had walked away, she lost interest when Vegeta walked over. 'Can't that selfish bastard think of anyone other than himself? Why would anyone even want to look at him when goku's here?' She thought as she continued ignoring the two who had left to the car.

"Come on Vegeta you'll be okay just put your arms down or you'll suffocate!"

"Don't look at me."

"What? " Goku asked. Vegeta's voice was muffled from his arms covering his face. He helped guide vegeta's trembling body into the passenger seat before climbing into the driver's seat. He turned to Vegeta and repeat his question.

"What?" Goku watched as Vegeta slammed his arms down onto the dashboard.

"DON'T LOOK AT ME!!" He screamed, obviously not okay.

"Okay! Okay. Just calm down okay? I'm looking away. Here I'll go on my phone." Goku pulled out his phone and started going through the notifications he had received while his phone on mute. Not long later he heard soft sniffles. He didn't dare turn his head, instead he looked out of the corner of his eyes.

Vegeta's eyes were slightly bloodshot and his cheeks were Rosie with crisp streams where his tears had fallen.

"You calm now?" Goku already knew what his answer would be but still asked for some type of reassurance.

"Yea... Mostly anyway.." Vegeta sniffled.

He felt Goku caressing his cheek, but he dare not look over at him. How could he after breaking down like that? Everyone saw him at his most vulnerable.

"You're beautiful, you know that right?" He heard Goku ask. He shook his head. He was disgusting, revolting even.

Goku grabbed vegeta's chin and gently switched vegeta's line of eye sight from the dashboard to him.

"You. Are. Beautiful." He said sternly before whispering. "You can deny that all you want but it's reality." He kept his gentle smile even when Vegeta started crying again. "I'm not beautiful! I'm a disgrace! I'm not perfect like you!" Goku ran a hand up and down vegeta's shoulder. "There is nothing wrong with imperfections. I am not perfect to others, but in my own way I am a God."

He managed to smile more seeing Vegeta calm down and eventually smile.

"You wanna go home?" Goku asked. Vegeta stared at him wide eyed. He looked at the entrance to the bowling alley through the window and back at Goku. "Aren't you going to celebrate your birthday?" He raised a brow seeing Goku chuckle.

"You're more important to me than my birthday. And besides, we can celebrate at home. Where it's just me and you. Wouldn't you like that better?" Vegeta found it astonishing how goku's smile never left their whole conversation. Goku stayed silent knowing he was right.

Eventually Vegeta caved as usual and agreed. They went home and played some games, made a seven layer cake after three failed attempts. Now they laid cuddled in bed after their love session.

"Kakarot?"

"Yes Vegeta?" Goku asked as he stroked the saiyan who was laying next to his cheek.

"Did you mean what you said to me in the parking lot?" He said with heavy eyes. Several rounds with Goku in bed and all those games were started to get back to him.

"Every word."
