Arthur lived from a pure heart that pumped good intentions
His life plan was written: it was to keep his ancestors' farm running
But Iris knew a pure heart is what he'll lose in the Virginia mansion
He didn't heard the signs saying the devil's waves will send his boat drowning
He thought he could fight
The gossip and the lies
He thought he could resist
The lust and the kiss
But he thought wrong
And he was born to be gone
Iris was always at the wake
Saw his fate coming from a mile away
Arthur was cursed with an intuition too weak
It stopped sensing evil at the age of fifteen
Iris was sharp and deciphered the signs
She knew he wouldn't last much time
Their life in that town was a hereditary curse
It was slowly poisoning their flawless brains
Iris was never at the risk of a shift to the worse
But she was too sure he was bound to change
If only she could drive his mind
But the farm made him blind
