March, 10th, 2020; 7:00 a.m.

The next morning, it was bright and early the day was far ahead.

"Can we go watch the sunrise?", said Gemma relaxing on a bean bag in Jax's room with a controller in hand, playing a video game.

"Yeah, we can. Then, we can go get Chocolate chip pancakes from Butterfairy Café... sounds cool?", asks Jax, giving Gemma a longing look with a smile.

"I agree with that plan! Let's go before we miss it. Before, we go let me get my sweater.", says Gemma practically bouncing out of her seat.

"Gem, you're not going to find it, you left it at the treehouse. I will let you borrow one of mine. Ok?", says Jax smiling.

" I'm fine with that...", said Gemma blushing.

At the sunrise watcher's hill, early in the morning.

Jax's warm Ivory skin was shining against the early sunrise. His freckles popped against his sea blue-colored eyes. Jax's blue and silver varsity football jacket was draped around Gemma's narrow and perfectly fitting shoulders.

"Gemma, look at the view! Wow! It's gorgeous.", said Jax smiling and looking at the sunrise and occasionally glancing at Gemma.

"It is gorgeous J, isn't it?", replied Gemma, laying her head on Jax's shoulder, hoping he wouldn't mind.

"I was talking about you. I love you!", replied Jax as he planted a kiss on Gemma's forehead.

"I love you too. Now Do you want to miss the gorgeous sunrise?", said Gemma.

"No.", replied Jax calmly.

----After the sunrise, Back at the Starwatcher's treehouse----

"Jax, do you want to finish our breakfast and then redecorate the treehouse? We haven't been in here for a while.", asked Gemma, curious to see Jax's response.

"I thought you would never ask. Of course, time to get our kindergarten drawings out of here.", laughed Jax.

"Jax No, Can we at least keep a shoebox somewhere hidden full of them please?", asks Gemma with the cutest smile spread across her face.

"I guess.", replies Jax, plopping down a bunch of brown cardboard boxes and 2 cans of each color of paint, a matte white, and a navy...

"Let's get this treehouse makeover started!", expressed Jax rolling up the sleeves of his open button-up flannel that was covering a plain white t-shirt.

A few days later The Starwatcher's treehouse had a whole new face. The walls were now a clean white & navy color & the childhood artwork didn't litter the walls anymore.

"This treehouse looks so much different it's unreal, it's perfectly still though. Our initials are still carved in the base of the railing leading to the loft though.", said Gemma, looking almost sad that it wasn't as it was before.

"Hey Gem. I know that this was a major change but we needed it.", said Jax, referring to a sad-looking Gemma.

"I guess you're right.", said Gemma with a sigh as she relaxed while she sunk deeper into the hanging egg chair's soft gray cushion, her body covered by a soft, gray, fuzzy blanket.

"It will be okay silly.", said Jax planting a quick kiss on Gemma's forehead.

I love you.", replied Gemma blushing.

At the Butterfairy Café in town on Fairy Wolf Drive.

The cafe was dark, all of the lights were out except for the ones in the streetlamps and the displays. Gemma is sitting on the floor in front of the booth the two were eating breakfast at.

"Jax!!! Wake up, please. Wake up. I need you! Please wake up! Why did you kiss me silly, huh? Why?", sobbed Gemma with tears running down her face, her face stained with running mascara.

"I kissed you because I love you Gem. That's why and I didn't want to lose you.", replied a strange yet common voice.

"Jax? You - you the-rre? You should have told me about the oath you took yet you didn't, why not?" Gemma called out, answering the strange voice.

"I am here though Gem! That curse was broken years ago! Now... Please.... put the Goblin's cursed potion down.", yelled Jax.

"I put it down. Now can you come out from where you're hiding?", shrieked Gemma.

"Hey Gemma.", whispered Jax. "Miss me?", asked Jax, coming out from behind an archway leading to the cafe bathrooms.

"Yeah I did silly, what just happened?", asked Gemma confused.

"It's called a werewolf illusion.", said Jax calmly answering Gemma's question.

"That's scary. Are you okay though?", asked Gemma with a panicked look in her eye.

"I know it's a scary Gem. I go through it a few times in my life, every werewolf does. The stages are infant to toddler, child to teen, teen to young adult, young adult to adult, and finally adult to elder. I have a whole book that the council gave my family. I also have one in our treehouse.", replied Jax with a sigh of relief as he grabs his bag and slings it over his shoulder.

"Ok, wow. This is a lot to take in." said Gemma, shaking.

"Look, are you okay? Did I scare you? I didn't know that this would happen in front of you. I'm so sorry.", says Jax now looking down at the floor.

"I am okay. It scared me but, will I be okay alright? just trust me. Let's get out of here, it's late. Do you want to sleep at The Starwatcher's treehouse?", says Gemma, reaching out for Jax's hand.

"I believe you are beautiful. Yes, that's fine with me.", says Jax, grabbing Gemma's hand in return as they both run hand - in - hand down Rosebud Alley.
