Hug of a Werewolf; A Werewolf Romance

Part 3; Chapter 15

April, 25th, 2021; 12:00 p.m. (Lunchtime)

"Let's do an escape room.", says Jax, proposing an idea for the group to do as a fun bonding exercise.

"Heck yeah. That's gonna be awesome.", says Theo excitedly.

"Gem, You okay? You're really quiet. You don't really seem that excited about the escape room.", says Jax checking in on Gemma. 

"I'm fine. Why the heck do you care so much about a stupid escape room?!", says Gemma getting up off the bed, tears in her eyes, as she runs out of the hotel room.

"Give us a minute. I'll go talk to her.", says Harper walking at a steady pace out of the hotel room, 10 dollars cash in hand, which she shoves into her jeans pocket quickly, hoping that the boys wouldn't see.

"They better not get ice cream without us.", says Theo laughing.

"Watch! They probably will.", says Jax smiling in response. 

30 minutes later, the girls come back laughing, smiling and talking rapidly as if they were excited about something, as they try to hide their ice cream covered lips.

"Where'd you go?", asks Theo and Jax, curious as they turn their heads the minute that the girls walk through the door.

"We talked, relaxed and got some snacks.", says Gemma smiling.

"What snacks?", asks Theo curiously as he smirks.

"Ice cream.", says Gemma blurting out then realizing what she has done.

"GEM! You truly can't hold water can you?", says Harper laughing.

"Sorry and no, not really.", says Gem smiling. 

They all laugh.

"Since the escape room isn't a good idea, what should we do now?", suggests Jax with a smile.

"I think we should stay in as the rain gets heavier.", says Gemma, smiling while she kneels to unclip the underside bottom of Pumpkin's vest.

"Okay.", says Jax with a soft smile.

"I'm gonna go get a breath of fresh air.", says Gemma quietly grabbing her mask and walking out the door, without Pumpkin as she fidgets with her ring.

"Are you gonna go alone without Pumpkin or one of us?", says Jax concerned.

Gemma nods and exits.

"Jax, Is she okay?", asks Theo quietly.

"Yeah, she is. I think it's her nerves and anxiety of large crowds and loud noises.", says 

Jax reassuring both Theo and Harper.

"Oh okay.", says Theo quietly.

- A little while later -

"Guys, Theo and I have something to tell you.", says a nervous and excited Harper.

"You're getting a dog?", says Gemma avidly messing with the necklace that was hanging around her neck.

"Maybe, I'm not going to say anything yet.", says Harper with a wink, although no one seemed to catch it.

"Do you wanna tell them?", says Theo with an allusive smirk as he brushes his straight, blonde hair out of his face; readjusting his beanie on his head.

"I guess I will. We are going to move up to Cape Elizabeth, ME with you guys. We settle the day after we get back from the trip, which means, we packed our car and suitcases full of our clothes, that's why I asked if we could take your car.", says Harper beaming from ear to ear.
