Hug of a Werewolf; A Werewolf Romance

Chapter 19

August 20th, 2021

9:00 a.m. 

"It's about time! I cannot believe the summer is almost over.", says Gemma with a sigh as she rolls over to face Jax who was waiting for Gemma to kiss him good morning.

"I know baby, I know.", says Jax as Gemma kisses him good morning.

"Did you get your class assignments yet?", asks Jax looking at the clouds overhead through the glass roof.

"I did.", says Gemma smiling as she sits up, petting Pumpkin's ears.

"Who did you get?", asks Jax curiously in hope that the two of them got the same homeroom teacher for their 11th grade year. 

"I got Professor Lauryn Neale.", says Gemma with a smile.

"Yes! Ahhh! Babe we are going to be together all year!", says Jax sitting up hugging Gemma with tears in his eyes.

"Babe, Are you crying?", Gemma asks Jax as she sits in their bed smiling.

"No, I'm not.", says Jax, wiping a tear from his face as he smiles.

"You lair.", says Gemma giggling as she attacks him with a pillow, smacking him in the face, hard but not too hard to hurt him. 

They both laugh uncontrollably until their stomachs hurt from laughing, gasping for air. Even a smile made them burst out in laughter all over again.

"Come on babe, we have to get up.", says Jax with a smile extending his hand to Gemma.

"Why? I'm comfortable.", says Gemma with a sad face.

"I've got doughnuts!", says Jax with a smile knowing that that's bound to get his girlfriend out of bed.

Gemma shot up with a smile.

 "Did you say doughnuts?", asked Gemma, fully awake now sliding on her slippers and racing down the stairs.

"I did say doughnuts.", says Jax smiling as he pulls a basic white tee over his once bare chest, as he follows her smiling.

"Babe...", Gemma's voice trails off in shock.

The Breakfast nook table was covered in flowers, chocolate, doughnuts and coffee, lots of coffee.

"What did I do to deserve you hm? I love you Jax.", says Gemma blushing as she hugs her boyfriend, her arms around his neck. 

"I love you more than anything my beautiful Gemma.", says Jax with a smile as he kisses his girlfriend softly on the lips.

After Breakfast while the 3 of them finished getting ready....

"Babe are you ready to go?", asks Jax with a smile as he peeks his head into the bathroom.

"Almost, and done.", says Gemma beaming with her makeup lightly done, her hair back in a messy brown ponytail, pieces of her hair framing her face as she looks at her boyfriend for approval. 

"Need approval? Nope you don't, you always look adorable my Gem.", says Jax smiling while his laugh made Gemma blush.

"Thanks babe, I love you.", says Gemma, giving Jax a quick kiss on the cheek.

As Gemma grabs her backpack Pumpkin comes bounding up the stairs, she sits.

As she looks at Gemma with a human-like face, reading "Bye byes? I want car, I want to go!".

"You wanna go girl? Okay Pumpkin, go.", says Gemma releasing Pumpkin from her sit position. 

"My two favorite girls.", says Jax as he gets his white Pumas on, finishing he stands up and grabs his wallet, mask and Gemma's hand and out the door the three of them went.

- 20 minutes later, At the town's local Target -

Gemma took a deep breath and slipped Pumpkin's hands free leash around her waist making it easier to shop, together the three of them walked inside the Target together, Jax smiles reassuring Gemma that it will be okay.

"First on our list we need Dixon Ticonderoga pencils 25 count, two packs each.", says Jax as he shows Gemma the list, pointing to the school supply section. 

"That's 100 pencils!" Gemma stifles a laugh as the two of them walk to the school section, grab the pencils and place them in the cart.

"Next we need 10 binders, 5 each. What color are you going to get?", asks Jax curious.

"I will get the lilac purple, teal and white. That would be a cute color scheme for this year don't you think?", asks Gemma giggling.

"I love that color scheme. I think I am going to do black, white and teal.", says Jax as he grabs his binders and places them into the cart. 

"We need 35 dividers each!", says Gemma in shock as she looks at the school supply list.

"I'm not surprised.", says Jax grabbing the cart and guiding Gemma to the next area, where the dividers, backpacks and craft supplies

'Really? You're not?", asks Gemma in shock looking at the array of school supplies that was lined on the shelves.

"It's highschool love, what do you expect?", replies Jax as he stops the cart.

"A smaller supply list honestly.", says Gemma laughing. 

"That's smart.", says Jax with a grin as he places the last few school supplies in the cart, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Back home, the two of them start assembling their bags, setting up their binders and teasing each other while they do so.

45 minutes later, while the two of them are getting their things ready...

"Are you feeling okay?", asks Jax concerned as he places a hand onto Gemma's forehead.

"I'm tired. Like, really tired and kinda dizzy.", says Gemma to Jax quietly, leaning her head on his shoulder as she gently places down the binder she was working on putting together. 

"Do you just want to stop what we are doing and try and take a nap? Seeing as you have not gotten much sleep the last few days.", says Jax gently getting up and getting into the bed, leaving Gemma with an open invitation to cuddle him.

"Yes please babe.", says Gemma yawning as she slowly climbs in and gets situated.

Without much time passing the two of them are fast asleep in no time.

-That night -

"Hey love. You awake?", whispered Jax with a smile. 

"Mhm, no I'm not.", says Gemma giggling as she turns back over to face him.

"Liar.", says Jax smiling as he starts to tickle Gemma.

"I am not.", says Gemma sitting up with a smile.

"You sure....", says Jax

- The next morning -

Jax and Gemma awoke the next morning pretty early, 5:30 a.m. kinda early. 

"Let's go sleepyhead, it's the first day of school, we have to get up.", says Jax smiling as he pulls a white tee over his bare chest.

"What do you mean?, I'm already awake.", says poking her head out the the bathroom, putting the finishing touches on her makeup.

"Then, who's that?", says Jax pointing to the lump of something under the covers.

"WOOF!", says Pumpkin trying to get out from under the covers.

"We have to get going.", says Jax laughing with a smile, grabbing Gemma's hand. 

"Coming, babe.", says Gemma, picking up her backpack, grabbing Pumpkin's leash and her meds bag, as she heads down the stairs, closing the treehouse door for the last time.
