The New Year's preparations were in full swing as the treehouse was almost fully decorated in black and gold, glitter decorations, and balloons.
"Can you believe the New Year is like less than 20 hours away... that's crazy.", says Jax with a smile as he finishes wiping down the breakfast nook table.
"I'm excited for the upcoming year! Think of all the fun adventures we could have together in 2021! Babe, we could go to Pennsylvania if we wanted to.", says Gemma with a squeal.
"I would love to go to Jacoby Falls in PA or even Poplar Stream Falls here in Maine!", says Jax, throwing around random suggestions.
"I would love to go hiking to a waterfall that has Cherry Blossom trees nearby or at the waterfall. Imagine the Instagram pictures we could take!", says Gemma dreamily as she hops onto the kitchen counter still talking to Jax.
"Let's do it! We can leave in 12 days then!", says Jax joyfully, grabbing his Macbook off the counter and opening it to a fresh Google search engine.
"What are you Googling?", asks Gemma, curious peeking over her boyfriend's shoulder.
"Places to stay, sights to see in addition to the waterfalls, cute date spots, local parks, cafes, etc.", says Jax beaming as he shows Gemma the computer screen which projected a tourist written blog of all the best spots in Pennsylvania.
"Are we going to plan an itinerary? Because I will gladly help if we are!" Gemma is joyful with tears filling her eyes due to excitement.
"We are Gemmie! Do you want to help me?", asks Jax as he hands Gemma her Macbook and grabs a few pieces of paper and two pens.
"Yes! Please! I have so many ideas, so many ideas!" said Gemma, squealing with excitement.
"I am so freaking excited!"said Jax, heading up to the bedroom to get the suitcases and backpacks.
"Wait for me, baby-... I'm coming!", says Gemma running to catch up to her boyfriend who was heading up the stairs!
"I'm excited, like really excited.", Gemma says super excitedly, her cheeks blushing slightly pinker than normal.
"I know baby, so I am, so am I. It's our first real vacation together ", says Jax smiling, picking up Gemma and twirling her around gently before placing her down again on the floor.
"Then why stand here and not start packing for the trip?", says Gemma now smiling as she runs up the stairs.
"Woof! Aroo!", howled Pumpkin almost as if she was trying to say, "Wait for me Mom and Dad, I'm coming to you know."
