"Did you finally get a chance to write in your Diary? It's been a while since you have, Almost a month really.", adds Jax as he watches Gemma continue her drawing which was nowhere near done... at least in Gemma's mind.

"I did. It was actually kind of nice to get back to writing, I forgot what a stress reliever it is, simply just to write about my life.", says Gemma with a sigh as she doesn't bother even looking up from her drawing.

"That's great Gemmie, I know that you've missed being able to write in your "Diary." ", adds Jax as he lays his head on Gemma's shoulder and stretches out on the window.

"Really? Stop laying on me, then we've been over this, it's a JOURNAL!!", replies Gemma as she pushes Jax off of her and forcefully yet playfully turns her back to him.

"Babe--- I'm sorry... It's a Journal, yet you and I both know that you start every entry off the same way... with Dear Diary.", says Jax in a high-pitched voice as he playfully mocks Gemma.

"Oh you're going to get on my last nerve Jax Hunter Beckett!", says Gemma angrily, getting up from where she was sitting, taking a deep breath then, chasing her boyfriend around the downstairs of the treehouse.

"Mom! I think we got a wild Gemma Rose on the loose.... And she's out of her natural habitat.", says Jax playfully as he pretends to call his Mom.

"You're annoying Jax Beckett and you know that you are.", responds Gemma laughing, short of breath as she runs around the kitchen island.

Jax catches up to Gemma and grabs her waist from behind as he spins her toward him and kisses her cheek gently.

"So, what's the thing called that I wrote in earlier?", asks Gemma, "glaring" at Jax waiting for an answer.

"A journal.", says Jax, replying to Gemma with the correct answer.

"Wow, you listen to me.", said Gemma with a tease in her voice.

"Of course I do, I was just teasing you earlier lovey.", said Jax with a huge smile.

"Lovey, that's a new one. What happened to silly?", asked Gemma, looking into Jax's big blue eyes. Jax looks into Gemma's adorable, soft green eyes in return, as he kisses her softly.

"What was that for?", asks Gemma as she pulls away from Jax in utter shock.

"What? Am I not allowed to kiss my adorable yet very short girlfriend?", asks Jax with a smirk.

Gemma rolls her eyes and gets up from the living room couch and heads toward the pantry in the mood for a snack.

"Hungry?", asks Jax following Gemma like a puppy toward the pantry.

"No, Jax I was just heading to the pantry to walk around.", says Gemma sarcastically, rolling her eyes with a sense of flirtiness in her voice.

"Okay.... Seriously can I have a snack too?", asks Jax almost too seriously to tell if he was joking or not.

"Do you wanna have Oreos or Chips Ahoy's?", says Gemma to Jax as she pulls the two different cookie packages from the pantry shelves.

"Why have one kind.... When can you have both?", replies Jax, grabbing the packs of cookies from Gemma and opening them both and grabbing a cookie from each and popping them in his mouth.

"Babe... Really? You need to share, the cookies are mine too.", says Gemma running toward Jax eager for a cookie.

"No! THEY ARE MINE!", screams Jax through a mouthful of the cookie as he tries to stop Gemma from successfully getting a cookie or two.

"LIAR! YOU LIE.... I'm telling your Mom.", says Gemma reaching for her phone teasingly to try to text Jax's mom.

"Fine! Tell her what's she going to do, ground me? I moved o2ut Gemma Anne Rose, did you forget that?", says Jax in a flirtatious tease as he swallows his cookies, and goes to kiss Gemma as she scrolls through her socials.

"I did forget that.", admits Gemma laughing.

"Of course you did.", screams Jax at his girlfriend as he storms upstairs and slams the bedroom door.

"Babe! Wait... I'm sorry, I was just messing with you.", says Gemma whispering her apology quietly with tears in her eyes as she grabs her emergency backpack, hooks Pumpkin onto her leash and grabs her gear, pulls on her shoes and coat, and grabs her keys and quietly shuts the treehouse door.

November 2020

Dear Journal, I am writing to you simply because I can't sleep. I can't help but worry about Gemma or where she is or simply if she's okay! I ran upstairs to get my phone charger and the window was open, so it blew a huge gust of wind which made the door slam. Less than 5 minutes later, I had lost my charger big surprise but, I heard that front door slam and didn't think anything of it when I went back downstairs I had realized that Gemma and Pumpkin were not there, I thought that possibly they went on a walk but, Gemma's emergency backpack was missing so was her coat, Pumpkin's leashes, and gear and Gemma's shoes. Not to forget the pantry had a few snacks and bottles of water missing. Gemma had left me alone without Pumpkin and in this big tree all by myself, what do I do? Not to even mention she won't answer my texts. I truly cannot stop worrying about her. It's been about 2 hours now... I called my Mom and she said that Gemma and Pumpkin were staying with her and my dad. I am so glad she's and Pumpkin are safe and warm, I can finally breathe now that I know that she's safe. I just hope that we can talk and figure things out since it was just a misunderstanding. I hope she can forgive me, sorry I tend to rewrite things when I am truly regretting or upset about something. You know what.... I'm going to end this journal entry here. I will update you later.

From, Jax

A couple of weeks had already passed....

We start this next part of the book seeing Gemma and Jax cuddled up on the couch with a warm log fire burning brightly after dinner. It's nearing sunset, as the two of them are hanging out together happily and more in love than ever before. The last 2 months were behind them between Gemma's terrible cramps and the cookie fight, these two had found a way to get through their struggles and found many ways both old and new; to better understand each other, more than they already have. Also, not to mention Christmas and the New year of 2021 were right around the corner.

"BABE!!!", says Gemma, running over to her boyfriend and pinning him down.

"What?!", says Jax with a huge smirk.

"You know what.... ", says Gemma in reply as she playfully continues to wrestle her boyfriend laughing.

"What?", says Jax in a huge smirk as playfully messes with Gemma, ruffling his hand through her hair.

"Nothing...", says Gemma as she smiles as the two of them are now sitting on the living room couch.

"Seriously what's up tho?", asks a high yet calmly energized Jax with a cute look of concern.

"Nothing serious though... Just thinking about how lucky I am that you're in my life and that we can spend the rest of our lives together, you know?", adds Gemma who finishes her thought with tears filling her eyes as she holds a looking yet cute look at Jax as he takes in all of what she has said.

"I get that like I would run into a train for you... Gemma Anne.", says Jax hugging her and smiling.

"As would I babe, as would I.", says Gemma in final words before she drifts off into a deep sleep with her werewolf beside her and her service dog by her feet.
