Chapter 10

The Living Room

"Babe... Baby? Do you wanna wake up yet?", suggests Jax to a somewhat awake Gemma.

(She's a very light sleeper)

"I guess.", says Gemma, rubbing her eyes and brushing her long wavy brown hair out of her eyes.

"I made pancakes and coffee!", whispers Jax to hopefully get Gemma wide awake now. 

"Yum Pancakes!, I'm awake now.", says Gemma in a wide-awake grin, her eyes glimmering against the sun, which was shining brightly through the warm treehouse windows.

"Good morning Pumpkin.", says Gemma wide awake now, as she walks over to the breakfast nook, takes a seat, and continues to scroll through her Tiktok for your page.

"How many pancakes do you want, Gem?", asks Jax looking at his girlfriend with a smile.

"One please, babe.", replies Gemma, not looking up from her phone as she responds to her comments on Tiktok. 

"Are you sure? Not hungry this morning I suppose?", asks Jax.

"Fine! Give me two.", says Gemma with a laugh.

"Babe! Also, don't touch my coffee! You always make it wrong.", smirks Gemma with a tease.

"Is that right now? The last time I checked it was a Cinnamon Coconut Latte with a pinch or two of sugar. Am I right?", replies Jax as he opens the fridge, grabs the Orange Juice, pours a glass for both him and Gemma, then puts it back in the fridge before going to sit down with Gemma to eat breakfast.  

"No, you're right.", says Gemma, grabbing her plate and her almost full cup of Orange Juice from Jax with a cute yet annoying smile.

If there was anything he didn't already know about me... Now that's a secret., thought Gemma in her head quietly.

Anyway, as the day went on the two of them started to decorate the treehouse for Christmas with a fresh cut Christmas tree from the winter tree farm in-town.

"Babe, what do you think of the tree?", says Jax, stepping back from the tree and holding Gemma close as the two of them admired their first Christmas tree together. 

"I love it! It's perfect!", says Gemma with a smile.

"I love you more!", says Jax with a grin.

"Not true! I love you more!", says Gemma, wrapping her arms around her boyfriend.

"Sure!", says Jax smirking with a laugh.

"What is so freaking funny to you?", says Gemma, tickling her boyfriend with a smile. 

"That you believe that you love me more.", screams Jax, tangling Gemma in tinsel and Christmas lights that were laying on the floor.

"Are you ---- for ---- real?!!", says Gemma in between laughs and gasps.

"Yeah! I am for real!", says Jax smirking.

"Ugh, I guess.", screams Gemma playfully as Jax starts to untangle her from the tinsel and the Christmas lights. 

"You're insane, you know that, right?", laughs Jax as he finally gets his girlfriend untangled from the tinsel & Christmas lights.

"I mean I can't be that insane simply because you are dating me, right?", squeals Gemma hopping on the couch beaming with a smile.
