I arrived at the mansion yesterday. I have the feeling I am being watched. I am not sure who is watching me, but someone is. But I have made a friend. Well, are they considered a friend if they are dead?
His name is Alex. He is very nice to me. Sometimes he talks about his brother named Scott. He said he was the boy with the red glasses. I sometimes leave things in Scotts room for Alex. He thinks Alex left them before he died.
Currently I can feel someone watching me. I am in the greenhouse tending to my plants. I can't see them, but I know they are there. I casually water my plants and try to ignore the person. I glance back for a little to scare them off.
Once I feel they are gone I go find Alex. He should be following Scott currently. I look around for the red glasses and cocky attitude. When I find him, I see Alex standing watching him and his friends.
I needed to get Alex's attention without letting the others know. I quickly throw a stick toward Alex, but I end up hitting Peter. I hide behind a tree as Peter looks around confused. Alex walks over to me with a mocking smile.
"Shut up." Alex puts his hands up in surrender. He follows me to my room for our talk. I ask him about his day, how Scott is doing, and what is going on around the mansion. He updates me on day-to-day life.
"Ok so tomorrow is an important day. It's the anniversary of my death. It's going to be a hard day for Scott. So, if you are able to can you let him know I am watching him or at least that you are sorry?" Alex looked me in the eyes with a sad smile.
"It's no problem, Alex, maybe I will get him something. What does he like?" I always felt sorry for Scott. He didn't deserve to lose his brother. No one deserves that.
"He likes chocolate he used to steal mine every Halloween. He likes milk chocolate." I make a mental note about the milk chocolate. Then suddenly I get the feeling I am being watched again. I look around but find no one.
Alex says something about going to watch Scott train and then leaves. I know the person is still watching me. I can feel it. I sit quietly doing my homework before I leave the room to go get chocolate for Scott.
I walk to the back off the house, into the woods to take Alex's car. He told me where he hid the keys one day, in case I needed them. I drive off to the store to search for the chocolate.
I find the chocolate and buys three packs. All milk chocolate. I check out and start to head back to the car before I notice some people following me. I take a loop around the store and hide behind some boxes. I check to see who is following me.
I see the group of people. It turns out to be Jubilee, Kurt, and Peter. I quickly shift into my spirit form and go to the car. I leave before they can come out and find me. I drive home quickly and hide the chocolate in my room.
The next morning, I wake up earlier and leave the chocolate outside of Scotts room. I leave a note too. It reads 'For comfort on a hard day.' I go to my classes and notice that Scott isn't in any of his. I don't blame him; I would have stayed in my room too.
I finish my classes and go to the greenhouse to water my plants. Alex joined me for a little to thank me for giving Scott the gift. He has been eating it all day according to Alex.
"It's no problem Alex, really. I enjoy giving gifts to people." Alex just smiles and then leaves to go see Scott. I suddenly get the watching feeling again.
"Who are you talking too?" I suddenly turn knocking over my plant. I look up to see Scott standing at the door. I quickly pick up my plant and make sure that it doesn't get ruined.
"Oh, nothing just talking to myself. Nothing serious." I quickly brush him off and go back to my plants.
"I heard you say Alex. Did you know him? Please tell me if you did." I look at Scott for a second wondering if I should tell him. I see Alex behind him ushering me to tell him about my powers.
"Scott, do you want to sit down?" He carefully sits as to not knock any plants over or fall. "Scott my powers, I can see and speak to the dead. Including Alex." Alex gives me a large smile, looking like a proud big brother.
"You speak to Alex? What does he say? Is he here now?" I look at Scott, he seems so desperate for any part of his brother left. I give him a smile and grab his hand. I use my powers to allow him to see Alex. Scott starts to tear up a little seeing his brother again.
Then that feeling comes back. Somebody's watching me. I look around and catch a glimpse of yellow. That's all I see before returning my gaze to Alex and Scott. They are having a heartfelt moment, so I simply turn away but continue holding Scott's hand as to not break the link.
Once Scott and Alex are done speaking, I leave Scott to go speak with his friends. I go back to my room and just sleep. Giving Scott time with Alex drained me of my energy. I sleep until the later hours as it's a non-school day.
When I leave to go to the greenhouse I get greeted by Scott. "Hey Scott, how can I help you?" Scott gives me a smile and grabs my arm. He leads me out to the backyard and brings me to his group of friends.
"Hey guys, Y/N will be joining us to the mall today." The rest of the group give me a wave. Jubilee a brightly colored girl gives me a long glance before turning away. I ignore it and just follow them to the car.
I sit in the back of the car, next to the window. There were not enough seats, so some people sat on others laps. Scott drove and Jean was in the passenger seat. Kurt on Peters lap, Ororo on Jubilees lap.
Before we drive off, I see Alex giving me a smile and a wave. I wave back trying not to let the others see. But it seems Jubilee saw my wave. "Who are you waving at?" Scott looks at me through the rear-view mirror.
"Oh, no one I was waving a bug off." Though Jubilee didn't seem convinced, she let it go. We drove off and went to the mall. The drive was full of them singing to the radio.
Once we reach the mall, we break off to do our own things. I go to the bookstore first. I feel someone is watching me again. I look around and only find the cashier.
I see a plant shop and head to it. I am only in there for a few minutes until I am being watched again. I look and I catch the stalker. Jubilee.
