Chapter 56: Dead Meat

"Protect the Airship with all you got!! Give them all of the explosive you have left!!" I ordered

"Yes commander"

I went inside the ship greeted by Hange

"Thanks for taking care up here" I said

"Don't your the one who went to the battlefield, you must be tired you should get some re-" she suggested but was cut off harshly

"No, I'm going to do everything I can even I faint or die so stop holding me back" I said coldly

"Please at least get some rest when we get back" she said and held my arm in concern

"If that would stop you from nagging me so then I will" I said in a straight face

Hange frowned seeing her friend restless when they received a letter from Eren all she did was work until she faint in exhaustion

I opened the door I wasn't expecting seeing him. My eyes widen I manage to compose my figure

I had a face to face with a with black hair and gray eyes but his suppose to be cold eyes was widen in shock

Levi heart skipped seeing her up close. He wanted to kiss her but he can't and he won't. Levi still can't believe with her growth. He feel so small in front of her well he is but he can't stop himself to bend on his knees and feel smaller in her presence

"Did you successfully capture Zeke?" I asked

Levi frowned at her straight forward question. He wanted her back to normal when she would always annoy him with a silly smile on her face

Her usual bright blue eyes were cold and under it is dark eyebags. He would be lying if he said that she looks ugly

For some reason she looks dazzling, prettier than ever but he doesn't have the guts to tell her.

"Captain are you even listening?" she hissed at him

Those eyes. The way he looks at me is making my heart waver. I wanted to give him an embrace but I can't I need to stay composed

He was staring at her for too long so he simply replied with a nod and faint blush of embarrassment on his cheeks

"Levi..... Check on Eren" I ordered Levi frowned in disappointment

He nodded and left

Hange frowned seeing there cold exchanges. It was mostly dripping from Rei. Every inch of her skin gets cold when she's with him but despite her treatment Levi still looks at her with full of warmth, love and affection

She's the one who is rejecting him but deep down Hange knows it was all an act. An act to protect Levi

"Onyakopon how many hours would it take to get back to Paradis?" I asked

"Apparently it would take for 5-4 hours, commander Rei" he replied

"Well then I will leave it to you Onyakopon" I said and patted his back

"Shall we go then?" Hange asked I nodded in reply

I opened the door and saw Zeke's body emitting steam

I glared at him with all my might

"Please stop looking at me like that. You could even pierce through my heart" Zeke teased

Levi started to glare at the monkey man

I'm so gonna kill him now he thought and prepared his blades

"Captain" Levi's body felt numb hearing his title. He immediately stopped

Only her can tame him Hange thought

I shifted my gaze back at Zeke

"So did everything went exactly at your plan?" I asked him and raised my eyebrow

"Corrections, it's our plan but I think it has miscalculations" he said and focused his gaze at front

I followed his gaze and saw two kids

"Who are these kids?" I asked

"Miscalculations"

"It's your call commander" Hange said

I went towards them and knelt in front of them. I inspected there faces it was all mess up from the fresh bruises

A vision of her soldiers beating up these two kids sent shivers down on her spine

"Will decide when we get back to Paradis and treat their wounds" I stated

"Your keeping them?" Yelena asked

"I may have killed humans brutally with my own hands but I'm not that cruel to throw them off the ship it's like throwing them straight to hell" I stated and glare at Yelena

I was about to chastise her when Jean beat me to it

"Yelena!! Aren't you supposed to restraint the cart and jaw properly!! Now some of your friends are dead because of you!!" Jean yelled filled with anger

"I'm sorry" she apologized

"Sorry isn't enough for a life of our comrade" I stated and glare at her she gulped her own saliva in fear from dying

"And the cause of that the monkey had to throw more rocks at us a great act from a clown, right beardy??" Levi snarled at him

"Your quite an actor too Levi I know how much you want to kill me. I'm surprised to be alive" Zeke replied

"Well I had to follow orders from the chain of command and I'm the type to kill the best for last, I want to savor the taste well, after all" Levi said with a murderous aura, his resisting his urge not to kill the bastard in front of him and then he remembered he might disappoint her

So Levi bit his tongue and wished for the worst for Zeke

"We killed the marleyan army officers and its primary naval fleet and ports. We should able to buy time for now" Eren suddenly spoke

"You mean the time when the rest of the world would attack Paradis" I asked

"We risk so much life to rescue Eren and now you intentionally have taken yourself as hostage and made us do it with no choice the trust you gave us and in exchange we lost trust in you" Hange spoke

"But thanks to that we have now the Founding titan and titan with royal blood. All of those sacrifices won't be a waste" Zeke replied

"It better be"

The door suddenly opened revealing Connie with a down hearted expression

"Sasha is dead" Connie announced

It felt like I have been shot dead hearing those words come from his mouth

"Connie what were her last words" Eren asked

"She said...... meat"

Eren started laughing like a maniac

"Eren Sasha died because you involved the survey corps to your chaotic plan, you know" Jean said

"I know"

Hehehe well I will tell you at the future chapters of how they broke up

I'm really sorry but I really don't believe at a perfect relationship it always has a twist but there is always a perfect pair
