There was a knock in the door. Levi groan as he closed the book he was reading. He reached for his cane but suddenly he fell down with a loud bump. Levi then layed down the floor feeling helpless
The door opened revealing Onyakopon. He then helped the the old man back to his feet. Levi was old provably in his 30s
"Captain Levi" Onyakopon spoke as he called for the said man
"Why the fuck are you here" despite the age he cuss like a young sailman still discovers the word "Fuck"
"I was thinking of visiting and Gabi and Falco wanted to celebrate this day with you" The two children appeared
"Just because it's her fucking birthday I'm not going to that state again. Celebrating it would make it worse" Levi spoke scoffing
Onyakopon remember her death anniversary where Levi had a horrible panic attack that nearly killed him. This was her first birthday after what happened in the rumbling
"But at least we are here with you uncle Levi!" Gabi said as she knelt down near where Levi sat Falco nodded his head with a small smile
"Tch you guys are annoying" Levi rolled his eyes
Onyakopon was there and smiled he has changed his view of Levi apparently he became a big old softie when it comes to children. He donates half of the things he gets in the azumanobitos to the children giving them candy despite him looking scary. No children was scared of him they were most likely attached to that guy
That's where Onyakopon got a conclusion that he is a big softie!
But this was the time of day where Levi is at his lowest. Her birthday Rei Smith's birthday was a torture for Levi. He has gone through many of her birthday in the past years.
Levi stood up and stared at the 3 trespassers in his house.
"So uncle Levi what do you want to do?" Falco asked
"I want to bake a cake, go to the beach and buy flowers" Levi responded as if everything was planned all a long
"Well let's bake first! What flavor do you want?" Onyakopon cheered the three already know the answer
"Che
The three rushed to the kitchen and went to the fridge. They were shocked with what they saw. Many chocolate stacked in the freezer then tea
"Uncle Levi isn't this a little bit unhealthy??" Falco said
"That's too many chocolate bars" Onyakopon looked at it feeling sick
"Wow can I have one" Gabi said as she reached but her hand was slapped by Levi's hand and Gabi brushed her hand pouting. Levi simply pinched his cheek then gave Gabi one bar. Which she jumped up and down
"Those are for donation I don't eat it all I eat is few" Levi said while closing the fridge
"We have enough for the flavor" Onyakopon said they then started on collecting the ingredients
The four were now cooking a cakes then accidentally Onyakopon spilled a few drops on the bowl. Falco and Gabi already fearing for the poor guys life
Levi just swiftly wiped off the mess. He felt gazes towards him
"What?"
"I thought you were going to kill Onyakopon there" Falco sighed in relief
"You are overreacting" Levi rolled his eyes
"Overreacting?! You kicked me off the house when I farted!" Gabi yelled remembering that time she was kicked just because she accidentally let out a small fart
"It was disgusting" he scoffed
"It didn't even stink!! If it was one of the noisy farts. You could have died if it was the silent one!" Gabi yelled Falco simply sighed
Levi pinched his nose accidentally with his nonexistent finger which made the three unmoving. Then Levi sighed with a small smile
"I'm not used to this"
The two then laughed while Onyakopon shook his head.
After that they finished baking then the three slept at the couch then Levi draped a blanket
He decided to leave then took a jacket. As he went to the beach nearby. He thanked Eren he did not destroyed the beach or he would probably start another war
With cake in his hands and the usual flowers. This time Levi decided not to visit her grave. He decided to visit a place that still reminds him of her which is the ocean. He sat at the sand nearby then quietly sat there
"Sometimes I can't believe that you turned 25 right now but forever you will be 24" He sighed as he played at the sand trying his best not to cry. Instead he decided to lay down because of the logic that his tears would probably come back in his socket.
"I still can't visit you there not anymore that place was gloomier than anything to many tombs from the war. It's nerve wrecking just sitting there good thing your still there but also another tombstone from the war" he said as he kept himself from crying but he felt emotional. So he simply let his tears leave as his tears shone in the dark near his temple. Like small sparkles of dust
Levi rose and stared at the dark vast of ocean in front of him.
"If my tears could make an ocean would you come back to me Rei?" He asked then he went near the ocean took off his shoes
He went to the shore.
"Rei! Please I love you come back. You are too young and I hate it I should have protected you" he cried
After a few hours Levi decided to go back home. After that he could hear shouting
"YOU DAMN CAT I'LL KILL YOU" a woman in her 60s yelled Levi then saw creature run towards him. Then the lady chased over with a knife
His eyes widened and ran away
"Lady back off!" Levi yelled as the woman chased after him.
"That pest scratched my grandson!" she said then Levi look at the cat in his arms. He felt a slight connection with the cat
"Then I'll pay for medication just give me the cat" he said and the lady silenced then looked at him up and down. Levi sighed then took his wallet
"How much do you want?" he asked with a slight irk head as he stared at the scrawny cat
"Anything just to get rid of the cat" she said then tap her feet impatiently
"You know what just have my wallet" he said then left and quickly ran away
He arrived at home with the three still sleeping. He looked at the cat
"Why did I save you? I swear to God your probably going to make a mess" he said then the cat lay down on his lap purring. Levi didn't know what to do so instead he awkwardly pet the cat.
"maybe you could be a use for hunting rats what should I name you?" he sighed
He tried observing the cat head until it's tail. It has black fur but what catches most of its attention. Is the eyes of the cat it was the same shade as hers
"I'm being to desperate for goodness sake comparing her to a cat?" Levi laughed at him but the resemblance is uncanny the cat move towards him and gave him lick on his check. That's when Levi realized he should keep the cat
"Well what should I name you?"
"Faye"
