Hello!

Thank you so much for reaching the end of Milieu Euphony. I had a lot of struggles while writing it, especially that I'm still new to writing this type of story. Ibang-iba 'yung theme niya kumpara sa mga stories na naisulat ko na, this is more of self-discovery and open-ended situations. I think, this is the closest to reality story that I have written so far, and ang hirap pala haha.

So, katulad ng pangangapa ni Lael, nangangapa at naligaw rin ako kung paano ko ba dapat isulat 'to. Should this be as detailed as Lavien's POV? I want the In Act Series to be (distinctly) different from the rest of my stories, so it was a given that I should write it as detailed as that. But I realized, it's not always the case. 

You see, Veille Symphony's narration was filled with passion. Si Lavien ang nag-na-narrate no'n, and she was desperately trying to get back to ballet. It was the passion that pushed Lavien to narrate like that. Lael doesn't have anything, so I had to make it a bit more straightforward than Lavien's.

Then, the rest was history. 

Now, I already finished it, and I can't believe that I have gone this far. Isang story nalang, tapos na ang In Act Series—ang unang series kung saan experiment lang ang lahat. But I was satisfied with the outcome.

So, what was my goal in writing this?

I want to write about someone who's in the middle—someone who had no passion, or someone who was in the process of searching for it. In Lael's case, she's in the middle of journeying kaya gano'n na lang ang naging theme ng story. 

The story of Milieu Euphony does not have any conflict (which I struggle to write about kasi ngayon lang ako nagsulat ng ganito). It's more of a journey to help the wanderer find the right path. It felt like it's going in circles but that's what journeying is all about—being lost, being scared, and being fearful.

Are you going to be brave and keep on journeying? Or are you going to be braver in risking to stay? That's the question when we're traversing the never-ending paths toward success.

I don't want to explain more, and I (crossed fingers) hope that Lael's character already told you about it. She's full of symbolism, so there are many of them scattered throughout the story. Mostly, read between the lines and hope that you'd understand what she meant haha.

I actually have a final chapter here which was drafted at nagdadalawang isip pa rin ako kung itutuloy ko 'yon sa pag-post (for the mean time, hindi muna). Though, it's just a time skip at same timeline sa Act 50 ng Veille Symphony, so there's nothing much to miss. ~At life update kina Mikhail at Lael.~

Like how Veille Symphony was written, wala ring chapter for Mikhail's POV. Separate story din katulad ng mangyayari kay Tres, but it's not yet the right time to write it. Kapag kinukulit nila ako, tsaka na. 

Of course, I haven't forgotten some of the missing details that were not mentioned in the story. Katulad ng ano ang nakasulat sa letter nina Mikhail at Lael, ano 'yung story behind the pair bust sculptures na ini-sculpt ni Ophelia, pati na rin 'yung past nina Ophelia at Mikhail ('yung mga nag-skip para mabasa 'to, spoiler 'to). I might include it sa story ni Mikhail (initials ng story niya: TBM) or might make it as a spin-off, I'm still unsure.

Kaya rin hindi fully explained 'yung iba—reconciliation nina Verse, Lael, at Lavien, pati na rin yung art rebellion—kasi explained na siya sa Veille Symphony. 

I think one of the main points of In Act Series is to show who people are aside from/when separated from their passion. For example, if Tres (VS) wasn't good at painting and Mikhail wasn't good at sculpting, what are they?

There goes a saying that the right reader will find the right story, and I believe that this story will resonate the most with them. So, if you are one of those, I hope that you can find the right place to stay. And, hopefully, be enlightened about Lael's journey so you could see whether the path that you're taking was made by you, or were they made by others.

Sometimes, being in the middle doesn't always mean being stationary, it could also mean that you're in the process of.
