Josh was sat at the sofa reading a book. A lamp casting a cozy feel to the living room. The fire place was on and a hot cup of tea was placed on the end table. He also had his glasses. One's he never wears when recording, because the glasses make the headset feel uncomfortable.
"Hey Josh," sounds Crainer from behind him, leaning over to give him a hug. Josh without looking up replies back with a quip reply.
"Hey."
"What are you reading?"
"A book." Crainer sits down on the sofa with Josh's feet facing toward him, looking at his lover with slight confusion.
"I know that, but what kind of book?"
"A cool book," replies Josh taking his bookmark and closing the book to face Crainer.
"What's the title of it?"
"It's called When The Moon Cries."
"When The Moon Cries? sounds dry."
"It's actually not as dry as it sounds."
"Well, if it's not dry as you say, read it to me."
"You want me to read you the story?" questions Josh. Crainer nods and Josh picks his book back up.
"Since you won't know what's going on. I guess I'll start at the beginning." Josh clears his throat and turns to the first page. He glances up, only to see Crainer waiting in anticipation.
"Even if it was twelve years ago. I still think of that day. The day I woke up with blood splatters around me. The cold floor matching that of my body. I don't remember much from that night, but in the dark of my room when I close my eyes, I can still feel that tingling sensation on my finger tips. And the image of the basement door swinging wide open as police officers poured in. That day. It was not just me they found down there." Josh pauses and looks back up to see Crainer now in a comfortable position, than stick straight. He was about to continue until he feels Crainer's hands on his feet, slowly massaging them, one by one.
"Keep reading Josh. I'll just massage your feet while you're at it."
"Okay, it does feel nice," he replies before continuing.
"Vee, are you okay?" Then there's my best friend. My only friend in this place I call "home." Her hazel eyes filled with worry as I don't respond. Though as I go to speak, Darcy interrupts. RJ twirling around to face the young girl, her copper wavy hair put in a pony, so as to an inch away from hitting my face." Josh continues on reading while Crainer listened for once in his life. As long as Josh was reading and Crainer massaged his feet, they both would seem likely to finish the whole book right there. But as time wore on, Josh was having a hard time reading a single sentence without yawning.
"Crainer, I'm sleepy. Can we stop and read more tomorrow?"
"Of course Josh. I'm sleepy as well. Come on let's go to bed." Crainer got up and turned off the fireplace while Josh turned off his lamp, closed the blinds and turned on the light. Then they both trudged their way on up to their room. They both change, use the bathroom, brush their teeth, and climb into bed. Feeling the warmth of the bed surround their body. Soon being lulled into a peaceful slumber. Josh was dreaming of his Minecraft dog, Bork, while Crainer dreamed about his fish, Floppy. Both dreams were peaceful and vivid. Almost as if it were another world that you could wake up to.
Once morn rose Josh was the first to wake. Yawning and wiping the sleep crusty's out of his eyes. Then getting up and stretching, raising his arms above his head. After, he walks over to the closet and grabs out some comfy clothes. Then heads to the bathroom to brush his hair, put on deodorant, and use the toilet. Once Josh walks out he sees Crainer still sleeping peacefully with a small smile. He glances to the clock on the bedside table and sees 8:10.
