Newt's POV:
I close the door. Why did I say that?! She'll ask about it in the morning. Why did I call her love? She might find out. I sigh and go to the room across the hall. My room.
I have a wall. Covered in pictures. Tommy and I. Teresa and I. Frypan and I. Minho and I. (Y/n) and I. All of us. I stare at the picture of (y/n) and I. (Y/n) looks so beautiful in that dress.
Everyone has a family member. Minho and his sister. Thomas and his mother. Teresa and her uncle. Frypan and his father. (Y/n) and her father. All my family is dead. Did I even have one?
I plop onto my bed. It was 10:00. I closed my eyes. I imagined (y/n), her Hazel eyes, brown hair, beautiful face and personality, she's perfect. She would never love someone like me. The guy that's dating her is lucky.
Darkness floods through my mind as I fall asleep.

I forgot to knock on (y/n)'s door. What I saw and what I heard hurt me. She was standing in front of the mirror. She was in her bra and underwear, nothing more. I stood there in the doorway quietly watching and listening.
"He was right, I should just kill myself," she said. "All my scars are just a step closer to my death," she looked at her wrists. Her body was bruised and cut. "I should've been the one to die, not her, I could've saved her if I moved faster"
"But then if I moved faster, I probably wouldn't be here, with Newt, with anyone," she continued. "Hers or mine. I think hers was more valuable," I closed the door because she almost saw me. I sighed.
"Please no suicidal thoughts, (y/n)," I whisper to myself and go into the kitchen. I pull out a hair and sit down, head in my hands. "You're all I have."
"Newt? Something wrong?" I hear (y/n)'s voice. I feel her put a hind on my shoulder.
"No," I said. I look up at her. "You want breakfast?" I ask.
"No thank you, I'm not hungry," she says. "Can we drive to my house later? So I can grab some things?"
"Sure," I say. I sigh and close my eyes. When I open my eyes again, (y/n)'s face is filled with worry.
"Newt, you can tell me anything," she says. "You can trust me."
"I know I can," I say standing up. "I'm going to the store, want anything?" I ask.
"No," (y/n) says. "Be back soon, I have to talk to you."
With a nod, I close the door.

"Now, to buy that ring," I say and go to my car.
