Chapter 13(Part 2)

Newt's POV:
"This is amazing, Newt," (y/n) says looking around.
"You like it?" I ask.
"I love it," she hugs me. I hug her back.
"Well these guys helped me on this," I pull away. "I wasn't able to turn anything on without Thomas."
"Thanks guys," she smiles. "Do the maze doors still close and open?"
"That's the thing, we can't get them to close and we're not so sure about Grievers so we can't stay long," I explain. "Jorge and Brenda will tell us when we should go."
"At least we're here," she says cheerfully. "The memories," she sighed.
"I still miss this place, even though it was deadly, this was home," Minho said.
"Not every memory was happy," I said remembering Alby and Chuck's death, along with Gally's.
"Do you think they would've even survived the scorch?" Thomas asks.
"Little Chuckie might've made it halfway, Alby, don't know," I said.
"Maybe it was a good thing they didn't get to experience the scorch," (y/n) says. "Thomas might've let the cranks kill him if Chuck died, he almost didn't come to the scorch."
"And maybe we wouldn't have escaped the maze if Alby didn't die, maybe he would've made everything go back to normal," Teresa said. "Unless the doors didn't close at all."
"Well let's stop talking about the maze, this is supposed to be date for you two!" Minho says to (y/n) and me. "You guys go, the three of us will go find some bushes to hide behind while we spy on you guys during your date."
"How about you go back in the bloody maze, Minho," I said.
"Maybe I will, you guys can have a double date and I can enjoy the maze," he responds. "Good that?"
"Good that," we all say.
