Try on This Dress

       Tsu had been right. It was safe in Mina’s room. Sure it was a little ugly but, even so, it felt safe. Tsu was looking around with tired eyes as Mina talked lightly about what had just gone down in her room. Tsu made a little noise with her mouth and plopped onto Mina’s bed. Tired. So tired..how was Mina not sleeping? Or even showing any signs of tiredness? Well, whatever, she was in a completely new bed in a completely new room with a completely different atmosphere. A safe one at best, not stuffy and teary and boring like hers. 

Mina had heard Tsu plop onto her bed. She decided she should offer Tsu something,“Hah, I guess you’re tired, hm? Well, I’ll let you sleep but don’t you want food or to change at least? I’ve got clothes in my closet that might fit a little too big but..it’ll still work?”. The response she got was that of her friend curling even more into herself. Warm. “Hey, Tsu? Di’ya hear me?”. Yes, Mina, she heard you. “Tsu?”. Mina inched closer and saw Tsu asleep on her bed. Oh, she’ll let Tsuyu sleep for a bit then she’ll wake her up. Tsu’s gotta get out of her uniform at some point…it is 7:00 pm right now, one hour until Katsuki goes to sleep! Mina’ll wake up Tsu right when she hears Bakugou stomp up to his room on the other side, they were on the same floor after all. 

Thirty minutes had passed. Then another Thirty had gone by when Mina heard Bakugou yelling curses and stomping up to his room. Mina choked on the chip she had gotten down in the kitchen. She had gotten a whole array of items from the kitchen, gaining a few complaints from the classmates who had planned to do something with them. An example would be the strawberries she took and rinsed. Sato was deeply upset with her but Momo assured them that they would get more at the end of the week, shopping day.

Mina quickly recovered from her choking sesion and went to her closet, picking out some nice, clean, Pajamas! They are very pretty if Mina says so herself, and very special. Bakugou had made it for her after he saw what ‘Atrocious’ clothes he saw in her closet. He had very simple instructions on how to take care of the night dress…she kinda fucked it up though by putting it in the dryer and shrinking it...Bakugou was not happy! 

Mina was surprised when she found the night dress in the back of her wardrobe when looking for sleepwear,”Oh! This could work, It’s small so it’ll fit her..at least it’s being put to good use, eh, Katsuki?” Mina whispered to herself. It was a gorgeous baby blue Victorian nightgown, it was all lace with white silk for the base, flowey with a ribbon hanging from the collar. Before it was shrunken it went down to just below Mina’s ankles and was flawless, no ripped seems no nothing, pristine. Mina put it over her forearm and tip-toed to Tsuyu. When she got to where she was sleeping, Mina got right next to her and blew a raspberry on her cheek. Mina had forgotten she was wearing her pink lipstick but ehh! Tsu woke up with giggles leaving her mouth. She was still very much regressed and the fact that Mina had blown a raspberry into her cheek didn’t help her get back into her older headspace. She was stuck in this one for the time being. 

Mina laughed,”Hey,darling Tsu! Look what I’ve found! Remember you still have that unpretty uniform on, so, look! I’ve got this night dress Bakugou made for me! It’ll fit you perfectly..I hope!”

Tsu looked at Mina with wide curious eyes. Big Tsu might freak out when she comes back but for the time being she was glad she came with Mina. “What d’ya got?” Tsu asked curiously, her voice was a lot softer and quieter in her small headspace compared to her big headspace. 

“Well, Take a look at this masterpiece! Pretty isn’t it? I loved it! Too bad I shrunk it though, Bakugou was sooo angry! He yelled and called me a dumbass! He said, ‘Look at what you’ve done, dumbass! I told you to wash it under cold water by hand! And I also told you to air-dry it, Racoon! Don’t you have any sense of how to follow instructions?!’. It was a very sad day..”. Mina imitated Bakugou with her voice. After telling her the sweet story she handed Tsu the Victorian dress. Tsu caressed the soft fabric in between her fingers. Soft and silky. Tsu got up and went to Mina’s bathroom without a second thought. She stumbled on her way there but it was alright, she was much too delighted about the dress than her slight worry about Mina dropping her because of her neediness. 

Tsuyu was in Mina’s bathroom, it was small with just a toilet, mirror, and sink. Tsu stood in front of the mirror where she had the most room to move around. She took her tie off, then her jacket. Tsu was having trouble. Why did it take her five minutes to take the tie off? It can’t take her that long to do things, she’s not a child, she’s got to be able to do things swiftly while also neatly. Tsu whined softly when she started to have trouble with the buttons on her shirt. Again, she whined, tears collecting at her waterline. 

“Mm’no, no cry. I’m’s okey.. ” Tsu whispered, trying to calm herself. She just wanted to wear the nightgown! Tsu tried again. No luck. At this point she had spent fifteen minutes in the bathroom. Fifteen minutes it took her to take off a red tie, jacket with two yellow buttons, and to unbutton four buttons from her dress shirt. Tsu really just wanted to put on the dress and go back to the safe bed, she was alone and didn’t like it. 

Tsu thought for a moment before touching the door handle. It was cold and had the color of gold. And, again, she was hesitant. Her head screamed that she shouldn’t do this. She shouldn’t ask for help, she’s done this hundreds of times, why does she need help now? What? Regressed or not, she should still be able to take care of herself, even when her mind was at a four year old’s mindset. She was still older..still capable of taking care of herself and others..Tsu turned the handle. The door opened and Mina turned her head.

“Hey-oh, you’re still not done? What’s up? Is the bathroom not big enough, ya, sorry about that there’s nothing I can do when it comes to the construction of the dorms.” Mina said when she saw Tsu.     

Tsu looked at the ground. Embarrassed. “I-I need help..with my, um, bu’ns..um...”

Mina just looked at her, confused. That wave of confusion was washed away quickly though as she was willing to help her dear friend. Maybe she was just tired, who knows? “Hm? You need help? Okay, yea, You’re tired I get it! You don’t need to look so ashamed! I’m always here to help you, Asui!”. Tsu hummed and walked towards Mina after she had picked up the dress that she had set on the sink. Mina worked swiftly unbuttoning the buttons from her shirt, helping her out of the green skirt and taking the shoes off of her feet. Tsu took her socks off and stepped in the nightgown that Mina was holding up. And what do you know? It fit her perfectly…ish! Sure it went to the floor and was looser than expected but that’s what happens when you’re the height of an elementary schooler. Tsu was astonished at how it looked on her. So pretty! So soft and silky it was on her skin. It was cool and breathable…so nice. 

“Wowww, Tsu, So pretty!! I knew it would look absolutely beautiful on you!” Mina exclaimed. Tsu smiled and Mina began to talk again,”Okay, Alright! We got you into some comfortable clothing, I let you sleep for an hour or soo, so now we can start the sleepover!”

“S-sleepover?” Tsuyu was surprised that Mina would turn this into a sleepover. What if Mina found out? No! She just couldn’t, she would tell her to grow up! ‘Fast! Now!’ she’d say. She’d say,’A silly three year old simply can’t take care of two children..I’m calling CPS, they’re definitely not safe with you!’. Mina would take her siblings away! Tell her what she didn’t want to hear..that she can’t take care of her siblings, that she isn’t mature enough for it, that she needs to try harder.

Mina sorta, kinda, freaked out when she saw how surprised Tsu was about it.“Yea! Or..did you not want that, I mean, It’s fine, yea, I don’t mind! I’d just drag Katsuki into my room and call everybody else..no biggie!” 

Tsu then started to speak frantically,”Kero! No! No! I wan’ that! Es just…em..I tell you later..M’kay?”

There was a short pause and it was completely silent until Mina spoke up again, “Um, okay then, Well…Wha’d you feel like doing? Wanna watch a movie, we can see how it goes from there, yea?”

“M’kay..Yea, C’n we watch Moana?..”

“Sure!”

Well, this was it. A clueless Mina hanging out with a regressed Tsuyu Asui. We’ll see how this goes, now won’t we? Let’s hope for the best, yea?
