Shanya's POV

Thursday 4:15 PM

I get in his Benz, and he drives us to Jacks Hill. It's a good thing I'm literate because he never answered my question regarding where he was taking me. I quickly send a message to Leah letting her know that I'm with Alex...just in case.

We come to a big metal gate that he uses a remote to open. When we drive in, I am in awe at the house that greets me. I feel like I am in another world. It's a two-story house surrounded by well-groomed lawns and trees that spans as far as eyes can see. It is just breath-taking, I love it.

He parks the car in front of the house, gets out; walks around to my side and opens the door while holding out his hand. "If you're going to kill me just do it now." I say ignoring his hand and getting out of the car on my own.

He hisses his teeth and walks off, heading into the house. I follow him and if I thought outside was lovely, inside is even better. He makes his way to a slide door that opens into a huge back yard. There's a covered sitting area with several white sofas, there's also a pool and grill in the yard.

He sits down on one of the sofas and I sit opposite him. A coffee table separates us, he's watching me again. I wish he would stop doing that.

"Shanya we're going to have an honest conversation, no bullshit, we're going to talk." He says and I nod in response.

He presses a button at the edge of the coffee table and seconds later a lady in her mid-fifties walks outside.

"Ava please bring Shanya a Pepsi and I'll take a beer."

"Ok Sir."

"I'd like some water please." I say, and she nods and hurries off.

Alex sits back in the sofa looking at me and I become uncomfortable under his gaze. Ava returns with our drinks; we tell her thanks, and she hurries back inside.

"You have a helper?" I ask.

"Yes." he says and does not elaborate. Ok he's upset.

"Are you upset with me?" I finally ask.

"Why did you ghost me Shanya?"

"I didn't ghost you." I say looking in his eyes.

"We fucked and then you went missing, I think that's ghosting." I flinch at his words and his tone.

"Please don't say it like that" I say in a voice I barely recognize.

"How should I say it then?"

"I was embarrassed, I had sex with you too soon and in your car at that." I say putting my head in my hands.

"You do know that if I fuck you now or two months down the line it's the same fuck right?" He says and I flinch again.

"No, it's not the same." I tell him.

"Shanya, you need to grow up, this is the real world where people find each other attractive and have sex without societal rules holding them back."

"You don't think I'm a whore?" I ask him, and he bursts out laughing. Why is he laughing?

"No, I don't. Is that what you're worried about?"

I nod my head in response. He gets up and walks around the coffee table to sit beside me.

"I like that we have crazy sexual chemistry. I love how responsive you are, I love that I want to fuck you every time that I see you. I'm attracted to you baby girl, and I think it's the same for you too. Stop thinking about how it should be and think about how it is." He says and I nod once more.
