Tuesday

It was another regular day with Taylor. Instead of taking me out to the downtown cafe like our usual Tuesday's, he took me down to the woods that was a couple miles away. Confused, hell no doubt out it was I confused, but he wouldn't budge to tell me why; not like I didn't ask anyways. After hours of laying in the grass as the sunlight poured through the leaves, we started heading back before he grabbed my wrist. "Love?" His voice sounded strained. My heart fluttered at the nickname he has given me for the past couple 10 years, although we have only been dating for 2 of those years.

Taylor held me close, running his hands carefully through my hair. He brought his forehead against mine. "Mike and I decided to go back on tour. We're going all around the country and settling down in Texas." His voice was a whisper, as to why I don't know why since we were the only ones.

"That's amazing," I smiled.

"Mike and I are bringing Noah with us. I bought the RV and it's just going to be the three of us."

Of course my heart cracked a tiny that I wouldn't be able to attended, but what shattered it was the next few words he dared to speak:

"I can't go on tour and leave you behind. I have always loved you, and I always will, but I cannot keep a girlfriend when I will not see her no more."

"Taylor-" My words were shushed as he pressed his mouth against mine.

He kissed my lips with a burning desire and walked away while my heart turned into ashes. His words were the fire and my heart was the paper. Taylor walked away as I stood there dumbfounded, trying to think that this is all some prank. It wasn't a prank when I saw him drive away in his fancy car before tears welled in my eyes.
