Once upon a time, down in the deep sea, lived the youngest daughter of King of mermaids. Every day in the palace, the king had always told his daughters and sons to learn and become the great living creature. They all spent their time at the library or at the yard to learn the kinds of plants in the sea. While some studied the sea creatures, the others searched for a way to cure the new disease. It was only her who couldn't follow her brothers and sisters' steps. She spent her time at the library longer than the others yet she found that she grasped and learned nothing. She strove to observe the plants yet she had no idea what she was doing. She was scared of the sufferer and afraid of the failure she would make.

Those were the reasons why her brothers and sisters didn't let her go out. For them, the youngest had not well-prepared yet to make a contact with the world. They didn't let her do the things by herself. For them, she was just a baby. But for her, she was all grown up and her brothers and sisters were the ones who stopped her from growing.

One day, when she tried to run away from herself and her failure, she swam to the surface and watched the humans on the cruise, they were running, walking, talking, laughing and some of them were arguing. And she got an idea of what would force her to grow.

On her sixteenth birthday, she went to her father to demand her father's promise. "What is the present you want, my darling?" asked the father dearly to his youngest daughter. "I want a pair of legs."
