I am drying my hair while James is taking a bath. I will be glad if James isn't a bad guy who treats every girl nicely and I never knew him as my 'brother'. If he really a bad guy like his sister said, does he really like Prisca? Does he really perceive her differently? I hope I can find the answer just by looking at his eyes.
"Hey, can't we just search the deliverable one? Why should we go outside?" ask me as soon as he opens the bathroom door. "Do you really want to eat that chicken so much?"
"Hey, the final exam is coming and you won't go out for the next three weeks, won't you feel suffocated?"
"Why should I? It is great!" I comb my hair with my ten fingers. "I want to hide here as long as I can."
"Do you hate humans that much?" James strokes his wet hair to me and the droplets are pouring to me. "Let's go!"
In the dark alley, we are walking while whispering. "Have you caught that stolen car?" I whisper. "Why should you whisper?" he also says in whisper-mode.
"What if the thief hears it?"
"I found it!" He whispers it to my ear and he is laughing at my foolish action. "Are we sneaking out?" he says. "You surely watched too many movies."
"Hey! The thieves' ears are greater than the police officers!" I defend myself. "You watch too few movies!"
He teases me by shaking his head and open the car. "Why should I watch a movie when every day feels like a drama to me?" he starts the car. "I watched two girls fought over a worthless guy in that alley,"
"Hey! Who fought over him!" I know he is talking about me. "That girl was the one who fought over him!" I see him smiling while driving. "You were so cool that time." I talk to myself while looking at the window.
"How about now?"
His response catches me off guard. I thought I am talking to myself. "What?"
"You said I was cool, how about now?"
"You mean__this moment?"
"Sure! I just took a bath. A man with the scent of winter melon is driving, what do you think?"
"Stop speaking nonsense and just driving. The comrades in my stomach are protesting!" I meant to take a peek at him but his eyes catch mine right away. "What?" I am hiding my fast heartbeat. "The destination is at your right hand, ma'am," but he isn't looking at me. He is looking at the chicken restaurant. "You want to wait here?" he asks. "In the car."
"I'm going with you," we're both get into the restaurant and order the take-out. I shouldn't agree to eat dinner with him. My feeling towards him is getting worse. I can't control the sweat in my hands when his eyes are fixed on me. How can his gaze be effortlessly sweet like this? His eyes treat me as if I was the one and only girl in this world when I am just one of the many girls in this world. He doesn't even perceive me as a girl. "Cheng-Jun!" two men greet him all of sudden. "Hey! What are you doing here?!" James greets those men with an embrace which is the way guys greet each other. "Sil, this is my best co-worker, Chen-Bao and this is Wang, Xin-Hui," I shake those guys' hands. "And this Ching-Yu__."
"Your sister," those guys steal James's chance to introduce me. "We heard many things about you." says the man named Chen-Bao who is wearing a glasses. "What are you doing here, man?" James foolishly asks the useless question. "What are you doing here?" Xin-Hui who is taller than Chen-Bao asks him back. Then James shyly smiles, he realizes that everyone comes here to order the take-out. "How__," this time the cashier is the one who steals his chance to answer his friend. He gave me the clue to talk with his friend before he goes to take the fried chicken. "Nice to meet you!" Xin-Hui smiles brightly at me. "Finally we have a chance to meet you."
