"Surely I can take this off now. We've been walking for ages." Hayley whined, walking into something due to her lack of vision, "Ow." She winced, "You know you're really bad at directing me, I mean that's the third thing I've walked into already."
"I'm pretty sure that's just your clumsiness. Anyway, we're here." Stiles said, lifting the blindfold off of Hayley's eyes. She gasped at the sight before her, a childish grin on her face as she turned to Stiles, a bounce in her step, "No way, you didn't!"
"I did, after the time we had you deserve it." Stiles smiled, not realising quite how much she would like this present; he was slightly apprehensive about it.
Before them was the planetarium, a modern building with a domed ceiling that Hayley had been wanting to visit. All because of the stars, it was a dream of hers to see an astronomy show and Stiles knew that. He always knew how to make her happy.
She grabbed his hand, tugging him along towards the glass doors marked as entrance. Pulling him past groups of people, determined to see it all. She couldn't believe he would do something like this for her.
The smile didn't leave her face as they walked to the seated room, her mouth open in awe as she gazed at the ceiling above her. The night sky clear and the stars glimmering against their dark background. She was lost for words.
"Stiles, this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me." Hayley muttered as she turned her gaze towards him, "Seriously, thank you. I-I just love it so much."
She had to refrain from saying I love you. The words on the tip of her tongue ready to spill out at any second. Hayley didn't though, their relationship was still fairly new and she wasn't prepared to blast those three words into the world and scare him off.
A smile graced Stiles' features, exposing his pearly white teeth. It was impossible not to mirror the grin on Hayley's face, it was infectious. Her eyes were filled with pure awe, the emotion strong.
Hayley felt like her younger self here. The memories of her star gazing with her family filling her head. She still had that childhood innocence and naivety, the type she had been neglecting as problems grew stronger and impossible to deal with.
It was nice to be genuinely content.
"Come on, we better go to our seats. The show's meant to start soon." Stiles suggested, pulling Hayley along by her dainty hand to their allocated seats. They sat in the plush chairs, staring at the scenery above them.
"How did you know I'd always wanted to go here?" Hayley asked, playing with Stiles' hand that sat on her thigh.
"Well I had heard you speak about it a few times. Still, I, um, I asked your mom if she thought it was a good idea last night. You know, I think she actually might like me now."
